The pressure was on. His bosses were on his case about the exploding number of people who were getting sick in his far western district. He had tried to institute social guidelines to keep people apart, to stop the spread, but the people of this region had a habit of not listening to their Chinese overlords.

"I shut down their markets, I stopped all the cricket leagues, I even grounded all busses, but nothing has worked so far" Lamps said, to nobody really in particular. He packed his things up off his desk, and grabbed his coat.

"Chen, I'm taking off for the night. Don't stay too late, as I know your husband is waiting for you at home" he said, with a smile to the secretary sitting at the desk outside his office door. She meekly smiled back.

Lamps put on his coat and made it to the elevator. His office was on the 18th floor of the regional administration building, so he had a bit of time to think on his ride down to the ground floor parking garage.

"I'm sure I'll find a solution tomorrow" he thought. "I always do find a way."

He stepped out of the elevator and made his way to his car, as he did every night. He opened the drivers door, climbed in, and tossed his shoulder bag into the passenger seat. He was so used to his daily routine, that he didn't even think to look in the back of the car before entering, like his military training taught him to do. That was the last mistake he would make. Just as he turned the key in the ignition, a shot rang out from the back seat of the car. The shot hit him right in the back of the head, passing clean through his brain and out right between his eyes. He slumped forward, landing on the cars horn.

By the time security got to the vehicle, there was nothing they could do.

Penner = Town Indian Citizen
Ahoda = Nosy Neighbor, not sure on alignment
Jamie = Probably not same team as Lamps since he voted her, but not clear
