During your stay at Fort Hall, your Leader Timmah was approached by a man from another wagon train. He said his wagon train was desperately in need of oxen and clothing and asked if Timmah would be willing to trade these items in exchange for some food and a special item or money. Timmah was confronted with the following choice:

A.) Have everyone in the wagon train (in the town) offer one oxen and one set of winter clothing. In return, everyone in the wagon train would receive a food ration, and Timmah would receive a boon for himself.
B.) Have everyone in the wagon train (town) offer one oxen and one set of winter clothing. In return, everyone in the wagon train would receive $20.
C.) Decline the trade.

In the end, Timmah declined the trade and turned the trader away. The trader was upset for his fellow emigrants and their situation, but continued onward.

You departed Fort Hall about 10 days ago after traveling 1,190 miles to reach that point! It really feels like the home stretch now...you just need to make it over the Rockies with all of you alive. Surely that won’t be tough, right?

Wrong.

Last night, a pack of wolves could be heard storming through the wagon train’s camp for the night and howled through the night.

This morning, you wake up to see ahoda’s body completely ripped to shreds, almost unrecognizable, with almost no identifiable information on his body. Most of you really hadn’t really gotten a chance to know what he did for a living, or what he hoped to do once you all arrived in Oregon...and I guess you’ll never find out.

Occupation: Fur Trapper Role: Trapper You are a skilled fur trapper from the rugged Appalachian Mountains hoping to try out your trapping skills on the vast, unknown species of animals out west. Each night you may choose to begin constructing one of two different traps, which you will place in front of a chosen player’s wagon. It takes one full night to build your trap, so the trap you place will not be ready to be triggered by a visitor until the following night. For example, if you construct a trap on night one, it will not be placed and activated until night two. A Kill trap: When successfully triggered, this trap will kill anyone who attempts to attack the person you’ve trapped. An Alarm trap: When successfully triggered, this trap will broadcast the role of the person who gets caught in it to the entire game the following day. You are aligned with the TOWN. You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated. You will start with the following items in your inventory: -Team of oxen to pull wagon: 4 oxen (need at least 2 to “move” or perform night action) - Sets of clothing: 2, one for summer and one for winter - ammunition for your hunting rifle - 1 round (1 round = 1 hunt) - spare parts for your wagon - 3 parts - Food - 5 food rations Starting funds: $75

Hoping the day doesn’t have any more morbid surprises in store for you, you continue on the trail and eventually make it to Snake River Crossing, where the wagon train is met with another tough decision in order to cross the river and continue on to fort Boise.



Yet another river?! You don’t see any ferries this time. The way you see it, you have two options - ford across, or attempt to caulk your wagon to make it safely. As you debate, you decide to put the decision toward a leader.

However, as you do so, a native approaches you. He offers to escort you to a narrower part of the river that he uses to safely cross. However, he will want something in return….
