In mid 1947, what is described as a "flying disc" by eyewitnesses, crashed into the arid desert of Roswell, New Mexico. Following the wide media interest in the crash, the US military stated that it was United States Army Forces weather balloon. Public interest waned subsequently until two weeks ago, when another flying disc and what appeared to be alien life was spotted in the desert.
Now, the US military published two reports disclosing the true nature of the 1947 crashed object: a nuclear test surveillance balloon from Project Mogul. Nevertheless, the Roswell incident continues to be of interest in popular media, and conspiracy theories surrounding the event persist.
As the media, researchers, and curious conspiracists have come to the location in hopes of uncovering the truth, the United States Federal Government has also directed manpower to Roswell, in hopes of stifling the public's efforts to probe further.
Overwatch, an international task force has sent me, Agent Torres, to recruit individuals on the ground, unveil the truth, combat this threat and restore order. Those who demonstrate their abilities and prowess will be inducted into this task force.
