I listened to the original D&D adventure - kind of lost interest as they went into other types of games, but I'll listen again if they're doing D&D!

3x01

- Griffin already killing it with the music

- Travis replaces Griffin as DM. PROS: Griffin gets to play, Travis doesn't play. CONS: Griffin doesn't DM, Travis does DM. We'll see. I'm excited for Griffin as a player

- I'm anxiously awaiting their characters. Must be so much pressure on them at this point to come up with fun ones. I'm excited to meet their characters at the start of a season for the first time since ~knowing the McElroy fam

- Oh god Justin's voice is killing me. "I sleep on da floor". What a great intro. He's easily the best at creating characters here

- Sir Fitzroy, Argo, and...no name

- Clint falls out of his character voice so quickly all the time, it's so funny

- Sir Fitzroy, Argo, and...Bud. They took a page out of our MOTW terrible naming book

- Speaking of which, ha ha something strange with a normal name, Gary!! Like imagine a fish named STEVEN! Classic Travis. Can't wait for an against type BOB!

- Clint shouting for help from Gary or Groundsy for no reason made me laugh

- SPEAKING OF WHICH! Every single Travis NPC has "kind eyes". Everyyyy siiinnngleeee oooooooone. You'll hear it all the time now, you'll see

- Ayyy Matt Mercer shout out

- "This is pain...to me......to see." I lost it here, Justin's character is the best by far

- The theme and idea of the world is fun so far. The NPCs...are not. He threw so many nondescript ones at us. Gonna take some time to learn them that's 4sure

I'm only part way through so far but I agree with these 100% lol I was laughing so hard at Justin's character voice. I love it so much

Finished up the episode.

I’m enjoying Travis as the DM - so far so good on that front, and I am really liking Griffin as a player so far. I am absolutely loving Justin’s character, that’s my favorite part so far.

This is going to be a wildly different experience for me as I got in late on their podcast the first time through so I was able to just binge. Now I’m anxiously awaiting the next episode already so I may just hold off for a while and then slam a few in a row. We’ll see!

3x02

Didn’t love:

- Travis’ classes and games. The coin game and dodgeball were dumb and awkward. Right now it feels more like one of their live episodes based on a very specific hook which are good for one shots but not full campaigns, hopefully that changes

- Still way too many NPCs and nothing sets them apart

Loved:

- Justin going to accounting class. Saved the ep really. Justin is hysterical and that scene was killing me, I wanna listen again already. Much like Amnesty Justin is carrying this on his back so far

I agree with all of this. I hope Travis gets more creative, because it really isn't going well so far.

It just feels very off the cuff and not very well planned out. I mean they're joking about the names being goofy, but I kind of agree - he could've been a bit more creative when setting up the adventure it seems like. I'll keep listening, but it's not the same draw for me like the original story was.

I have only listened to a few of these. I'm way behind but I've listened to all the previous campaigns. Justin is the best part but yes waaay too many NPCs all introed at the same time. This campaign needed a here there be gerblins style intro

The last 2 episodes were p good but damn this season's been rough. Clint's actually been getting most of his rogue stuff right and they keep assuming he's wrong and not letting him do what he's supposed to. The editting in a few episodes was awful, and a lot of the NPCs are just kinda boring. And I hate how Travid does combat. "You hit him... real good!"

BUT I like where the current plotline is going, and I really love the 3 PCs, so I'm sticking with it.

I've been listening, and the story line is interesting, but Justin's style is just not for me. I liked him much better as a player as opposed to the DM.
