The date. Then I know that I'm safe until then!

I'd choose my expiring date

Knowing either would freak me out

I've already set my own expiring date...somewhat...and everything else beyond that is just EXTRA time...42. That's like 14 years from now. Who knows what the world has come to by then...

I would be freaked out anyway, but it is freeing to know nothing before that date will kill you.

Though you could still be horribly injured and finally die on that date after a long struggle. I think overall knowing HOW would freak me out more. I would probably develop some kind of horrible phobia for whatever kills me and that would just make the end even more terrifying.

I was thinking about death and all. About seeing how you're gonna die. I mean, on one hand, if dying was all you thought about, it could kind of screw you up. But it could kind of help you, couldn't it? Because you'd know that everything else you can survive.

Either one would make me incredibly paranoid, but I'd rather know the date. If I knew the cause, every waking moment would be spent worrying that the cause was just around the corner. With the date, you may have the impending doom rapidly approaching on the horizon, which would be stressful, but at least you'd KNOW when it'd happen and could try to enjoy life while you can.

If I knew how I'd die and it turned out I would be murdered by a clown with a scalpel, I wouldn't fucking leave the house until he would come and get me.

Imagine being told that you'll die from being hit by a car, or a tree would fall on you. Anything like that. The paranoia would be insane every day

Yeah. If you knew the method, you could just do everything to avoid said method.

INTERESTING SIDE THOUGHT EXPERIMENT:
If you were guaranteed to die soundlessly in your sleep and it was completely assured that it would happen that way, that it would be painless and you wouldn't feel a thing would this be good or bad? You don't know when, just that you won't know about it at all.

On the one hand you'd be anxious every night but on the other you'd have some pretty fulfilled days. Not sure if that would be good or bad really.

I'd want that to happen, but I wouldn't want to KNOW it'd happen. At all.
