There's no denying the fact that our picks for August (Little Giant by Roo Panes) and September (Lush by Snail Mail) went down like a lead balloon. The latter, my pick, seemed to consist of the same song rewritten 10 times. The former gave me clinical depression (Apologies to Lamps and Maddie, who I gather are big Roo Panes fans. Sorry guys, but you can't be a model and make good music.)
Nothing thus far has matched our first FE Listen's entry, The Lion's Roar by First Aid Kit (nominated by Herm), in terms of popularity. A Swedish Americana album is currently leading the pack, which demonstrates how bad our subsequent suggestions have been.
Maybe Mittens was right when he said we need to start picking better albums!
Personally, I have been wondering if Ahoda's FE Playlist makes FE Listens redundant, and that it is the better version of this idea. Is there still a place for FE Listens? I'd be interested in getting everyone's thoughts on this.
With all that said, it's time to start nominations for October.

Christian - Barns Courtney - The Attractions of Youth
I'm going to nominate The Attractions of Youth, by Barns Courtney. I have only heard one song as it played during the opening credits of a Netflix series called Safe. This is that song:
But I am interested in hearing more from the young man.
I like the idea of going through an entire album and then to rate it. Some albums have album teasers with just a few snippets from songs, they may work better than sample songs perhaps.
Idk, I think this should stay next to FE Playlist. We had quite some people participating in all of them so far.
If this has no future then it will die a silent death at some point probably, but it is a p cool concept and has certainly made me interested in a few of the artists that were picked. So I say let’s get started with October noms!
