not sure how many fans of the 2004 series there are besides Porl, but a reboot is...already happening for NBC's streaming service

The GOOD NEWS is Sam Esmail is behind this and it seems like a great fit for him from what I know of the source material. BAD NEWS is I'd much rather see Esmail do more original work but o well, technically Homecoming was an adaptation and that turned out WELL

Apparently not a reboot but a spin-off or whatever.

i think i hooked porl on it. i love it! great (and charmingly inconsistent) space show with really meaty themes and some incredible twists.
