It looks like I would just play the movie and share my screen which sounds less reliable than Rabbit's way of streaming it to all of us, but we'll see. Gonna have to test it

If you plan on KASTING with us at any point you should download it when you can instead of 2 minutes before we're about to group watch

Two weeks left. I’m prob watching tonight. Lets get some VIEWS ppl!! Feels like we’re gonna have less participants this month with the death of rabbit

I thought this was lovely. The original Forest Gump basically?? Forest Gump meets Brigsby Bear. Definitely had major influences on both of those

Sellers is so good, he easily makes the movie. Nothing else is particularly weak at all but he’s the standout. Him as Clouseau in Pink Panther is one of my all time favorite comedic performances and he brought a lot of the same deadpan humor here, he’s great

Chance is a wonderful character. I like that it avoided a lot of troupes. No HUGE inspiration moment from him at the end or anything. Nothing for him to overcome. Just really subtle and straightforward all the way through. I like that no one ended up being a cartoon bad guy either, like we were saying about Cousin Vinnie. The doctor, reporter, guy at the beginning - no one ended up trying to manically thwart him for no reason, they were all just trying to figure him out

Comedy bits all worked for me. Everyone misconstruing what he was trying to say never really got old, it was all amusing

I have to leave that’s all I’m saying goodbye. 8/10. I can’t hold much against this movie at all really

Oh and there was a little THE THING reunion! (Even tho this was first). That was fun

It was enjoyable enough but the bit with everyone misconstruing him DID get a bit old to me and started to feel vry repetitive

Liked:
- that there was no "aha" moment with anyone suddenly uncovering his backstory
- most of the usage of tv footage was well-done. The Mr Rogers makeout bit easily takes the cake
- Sellers was great. Apparently he hated that they used the outtake over the end credits and I kinda agree? It was such a pitch-perfect performance and that kinda undercut it

The only thing I knew about the movie was the iconic ending and the whole time I was wondering how tf it was gonna lead up to that. Turns out...it didn't! It still kinda worked but I was hoping it'd have more IMPACT than it did

I thought the post-credit outtake was a weird choice too. Idk why they made that decision
