Saw this question on facebook and it made me chuckle, every high school ever had some sorta incident guaranteed. Comments on that facebook post ranged from very funny to very dark

What was yours

First thing that came to mind for me was when a bunch of hydrochloric acid went missing from the science lab. They locked shit DOWN! I remember it being very dramatic as they went around and searched for it. I'm pretty sure they never actually found it

The other thing was when I was well out of High School so it doesn't really count. It was a few years ago, someone called in a bomb threat to the school and it was evacuated. Turns out the bomb thread was fake and was called in to go along with another entirely fake shootout story which was orchestrated byyyyy....a local cop! A kid I went to high school with. Some of you might remember me posting about this like three years ago, there was much more to it. It was wild

A man submitted a picture of him doing chin-ups with no pants on among a few other pictures for his senior page collage and the editors somehow missed that he was naked so everyone who bought a yearbook was called to the office one by one so that the guidance councilor could scribble out his pee pee.

We had a male tennis coach that mollested a number of boys over several years. It all came out when I was in high school while we were on a basketball trip, and he ended up going to jail.

The incident was a strange mystery on the TV show LOST

I went to two high schools, and the first one was pretty fucking terrible, which is why I left after my second year.

So my incident with that school came out several years after I left. It turned out that my music teacher there was a pedo, and was arrested for molesting young boys.

It made me uncomfortable to think he had taught me, and I remembered a goof around lesson with him we had once during which he put on music and has us all dancing, because it was the end of term or something. Anyway, me and another boy we're dancing together because why the hell not, and this teacher seemed VERY interested in that (pretty sure he thought/was hoping we were gay). I only remembered this when I found out about him being a pedo, and it cast a slightly odd incident in a whole new light.

That's the most serious incident that comes to mind. That place was a real shitshow. Luckily it was consumed by flood water in 2008.

My next high school was much less dysfunctional, and no serious incidents occurred that I can think of, at least while I was there.

However, one time in class everyone was talking about the crazy lady that had chased a special needs kid around the school. It turns out...that crazy lady was my mum. This kid had thrown stuff at her car after she dropped us off at school and had swore at her. So she got out of her car and chased after him lolll

I joined a club called The Dharma Initiative.

A lot of stuff happened at Degrassi High but never at my school. lol

The only thing I can think of is when this couple that had been dating since grade 9 had split in our last year because the dude might have hooked up with a girl during a hockey tournament lol. I know, how very Canadian? It was a very big deal since they were a lock for prom king and queen.

Freshman year two of my classmates got caught having sex in the auditorium and it turned into a Big Deal for a while with newspaper coverage and everything

The year after I graduated the incident was that the judges who always came to the pep rallies to talk about how tough on crime they were to scare us into not doing crimes had done crimes against high school students by being so tough on crime and it turned into a Big Deal for a while with documentary coverage on it and everything

We had a sit in, a few deaths. The safety glass on the front doors shattered, a couple of brawls with rival student bodies after football games, a couple of accidental shootings, bunch of overdoses and pregnancies, a bomb threat or two.


The whole thing kind of stands out to me.
