World of Warcraft - I never had a subscription, but I dicked around on the 14 day free trial very often. Always had a lot of fun. I only ever got one friend to play with me and it was a blast.
Half-Life 2 - Played only the very early levels and stopped shortly after. Not sure why I never finished. With how iconic it is, I regret never doing so.
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas - One of my absolute favorite gaming experiences. Going from Vice City to this was wild. Crazy huge map for it's time and so much to do. This easily has my favorite story as far as GTA ever goes, the road to redemption was great. And what a CAST!
Garry's Mod - Only played this relatively recently. Some of the mods are very fun. I love Murder and Prop Hunt.
The Sims 2 - A great sequel to an originally great game. I played it very consistently until TS3 came out.
Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen - Played it on an emulator. It was fun playing them with the upgraded graphics, but it didn't really catch my nostalgia long enough to play much longer than the first or second gym.
Far Cry - Had it on PC but didn't play very much of it. I remember breaking onto a boat and stopping after killing everyone on it.
Honorables:
JFK Reloaded - (:
...nothing else! I always wanted to play the Def Jam games but never got the chance to. |

What a year for gaming, you're missing lots of great games, like Pikmin 2, Sid Meyer's Pirates, Battlefield Vietnam. Jak 3, Ninja Gaiden, and probably loads more.

oh man, gr8 year
GTA: San Andreas - not a game that'll hold up too well going back to it now (since GTA V is p much the same thing but bigger and better) but it was amazing at the time
Burnout 3: Takedown - loved this game/this series (Revenge was the best of the bunch). This would prob be the #1 series I'd love to see revived, no idea why they don't since it was pretty commercially successful
Half-Life 2 - one of the GOAT shooters for sure, still holds up really well for a game made almost 15 years ago
Halo 2 - never owned it but played plenty of splitscreen at my friends' back in the day. p fun but I'm definitely not as nostalgic about it as some
Garry's Mod - Elevator >>>

This was also when I was 14 anyway, my friends and I were all about Gamecube and didn't fuck with Playstation or Xbox at all. I'm pretty sure I didn't touch either one until I got an Xbox in 2008. It was strictly Goldeneye/Perfect Dark/Smash/Mario Kart/etc for us around this time

WoW - Best MMORPG of all time, didn't want to pay a monthly fee at the time, played it for a couple of months or so.
Half-Life 2 - Groundbreaking game engine, Source, one of the best PC games released. My cousin got it and we played it together.
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: Sith Lords - My favorite RPG of all time, I think. I've played it a few times through.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - My favorite GTA still, haven't played completely through GTA V though.
Garry's Mod - Eh, there's probably loads of fun stuff to do in it that I never did.
Burnout 3: Takedown - Good stuff
Unreal Tournament 2004 - Tried it out much later, it's not the same as the OG Unreal Tournament
Rome: Total War - My favorite RTS of all time, the newer ones just aren't the same. Wish they took a step back in the map/city phases.
Pikmin 2 - Great sequel to a great game.
Sid Meyer's Pirates - Ohmen had a ton of fun in this one, I really want a remake.
Battlefield Vietnam - Played it a bit at my cousins, never owned it
Counter Strike: Source - My favorite competitive FPS of all time, spent countless hours on it and got preetty good.
Spider Man 2 - Best Spiderman game? Haven't tried the new one but this is the game to compare it to.
Star Wars Battlefront - Had it on PS2, so didn't play it online. Fun though
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines - Tried it years later, good, but too dated at the time.
Ratchet and Clank: Up your Arsenal - Great 3rd person action game.
LOTR: Battle for Middle Earth - Pales in comparison to Rome, but it's different and definitely was good.
I've played one Paper Mario, but I don't think that's the one, it was either that one or the next one. TBH the name is very familiar so maybe it was this one?
