I need to start getting a bit better with this cuz I'm about 10 pounds heavier than I'd like to be atm
But generally I just stick to running/walking, home exercises every now and then (push-ups/ab roller), and I TRY to eat relatively smart. I definitely don't eat HEALTHY (I eat fast food for lunch p much every workday) but I try to at least portion control well. And as far as beverages go, I mostly just drink water. If I do want something caffeinated I'll go for unsweetened iced tea/black coffee/sometimes diet soda rather than anything with sugar in it

I don't do shit now, but when I did decide to lose weight I went to a gym 5x per week and mostly ate chicken breasts and salmon, worked pretty well.
Think I might get a treadmill and some weights to do it at home.

Then I'll see some tacos in their natural habitat and lose my way.

Metabolism starts slowing down as you age, so that's the first problem to avert. You need to do stuff to get the metabolism up, but then you run into other issues, because increased metabolism makes you more hungry. So you basically have to exercise more and be hungry all the time.
Eventually you say "fuck it" | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |

I'm with Boc, i don't really do anything and am a little heavier than usual. I'm also getting old.
We pay for a gym membership that gets used about once a month.
I work a physical job so that helps a little but i really should eat a lot better. | Rodney is a great guy. Oops, nevermind he's a terrible human being.
He likes his sandwiches to be Turkey and Swiss. Triangle cut. Let vern have his crust. Poison the part Rodney eats.

I've been slowly whittling away at the pounds over the past decade. My biggest problem is that I eat like a complete asshole with no self restraint.
Right now I am just trying to eat better - less breads/carbs, less fast food or fried food, more water, a little less booze, more meats and vegetables as my primary food groups, etc... I am also exercising a lot right now. I play a couple hours of tennis 1-2 times per week (better workout than you'd think if you play competitively), an hour of basketball 1-2 times per week (also a great workout), I go to Orange Theory 1-2 times per week, and I try to get in a 4 mile or so run at least once a week. My goal is to get in 5 workouts each week, and since I do so many different things as part of "working out" it doesn't get boring or seem like too much of a bother. If I am working out that much each week, I don't really have to worry about gaining any weight regardless of how bad I eat and I will lose a little if I watch what I eat just a little bit.

I lost over 100 lbs pretty quickly when I first moved to Utah by walking every morning. Combined with a job where I'm pretty much required to constantly move, I shed down to the skinniest I ever been. I didn't change my diet at all however I don't each that much. I gain from doing absolutely nothing with myself from stress and depression.
I'm gaining again pretty bad from stress so I've been walking a lot more lately and got a national parks pass for the sole purpose of going to Moab or Bryce multiple times a year to hike. |
