LISTEN UP!

I’ve got my 10 year high school reunion this Saturday which is.....disgusting. Not sure how 10 years could’ve possibly gone by already but HERE WE ARE!

Tell me about your class reunion experiences. How many have you gone to? Which one is coming up next for you? Do you enjoy going? Keep in touch with any of your old classmates? LETS HEAR IT

I live in the same town that I went to high school in, so I see old class mates all the time. Many of our kids actually go to school togehter now as well and are friends.

I have gone to my class reunions maybe missing one along the way, we are set up to have one every 5 years. The reunions for me are okay and just a reason to get together. However for our 25th it was p cool, just because there were a number or people that made the trip in for it from California, China, Hawaii and 2-3 others from out of state that I keep in touch with now regularly anyways but don't get to talk to in person. The advent of social media I think will be the downfall of class reunions, not that it's a bad thing. But I see pictures and chat with the people that I want to talk to all the time anyways, theres not a ton to catch up on when we finally meet in person.

Anyways the next reunion for me, will be in 2021 and that will be my 30 year.

I never went to my 10 year and my 20 year is in a couple months. I didn't go and won't go. I have Facebook if I want to talk to them again or see what they are up to.

Not enough but I probably wouldn't considering I don't live anywhere near my high school anymore.

I haven't been to any since I work in the town I went to HS in and see a lot of my HS friends pretty often. 30 year is this year. I may go to it as some friends like to give me shit for missing the others.

I would not go to mine. I disliked most of my graduating class

I've been to most of mine. I still keep in touch with a close group of friends from high school so, even if I don't want to go, they make me. But it always ends up being fun.

It would have been 10 this year. I had no intention of going. I hated my high school and don't keep in touch with anybody from it.

I don't think there's been a high school reunion yet.

There have been a couple of "middle school" reunions, which I didn't go to since I wasn't in the same country at the time.
A lot of colorful people would have been there, might have been funny / sad.

I still keep in touch with people from both schools.

I went to my 10 year, though I live in my hometown so it wasn't like I went out of my way to go. It was fairly well attended, but not a lot of people came in from out of state for it. I only went to the social/party events, not the football game.

I have my 20 year coming up in a few years. I will probably go.

I BELIEVE mine is also this month and I only know that because I looked it up a few months ago.

NOT INVITED AND NOT GOING

There's an entrance fee, but it's just at a pavilion at a local park with some Absolutely Wacky local dj and the same shitty buffet food every event that pavilion has ever held has served.

I would go if I knew a lot of my friends would be there, but most of my pals were a grade above or below me, and the ones in my graduating class have all either moved on or weren't the types that would go to something like that. The rest of the people I don't really care about enough to bother. I would have liked to check in on the guy who used to cheat off me in history but I don't think that's enough to justify it

I know that guy. He's a history prof now.

I have not gone to any of them, but they are cross country and I'm not that motivated to spend the cash just for that.

OTOH, I was there in spirit for (i think) the 20th in 2012, because they opened the time capsule we set up. I had put in a box of Twinkees, saying they'd still be good to eat in 20 years. It got posted up on the FB page for it with people saying "Who's disgusting idea was this?" and you could see my name written on the box. One of my friends posted "It's got vlad's name all over it."

I'm looking forward to mine. Went to my five year and it was a lot of fun, we had all just left college and hated our lives so it was good to see everyone and catch up on college stuff

I've got some good friends from my grade and I didn't hate anyone. The only problem is that we had a TINY class, just 58 of us. I don't want it to be a sad excuse for an event if a very small fraction of that already small number shows up, that'd be awk. WE'LL SEE!

we never really had an "official" one. So no, I've never attended. But I think I would.
I do still keep in touch with a couple peeps from high school.
