We all grew up playing video games (I'm sure there are a couple exceptions here) and we all have fond memories of playing them. What consoles did you own and what games did you enjoy playing the most? |

Every one of the ones listed and then some.
Did anyone else rock a Game Gear? And go through a small fortune in batteries every seventeen minutes of gameplay?

Oh man Armored Core... I forgot how much fun I would have playing that game with friends. Specifically the third one, IIRC. Nothing better than spending seven hundred and fifteen hours constructing a mech that sucks. From Software needs to put a new one out. Even if it has to have Souls mechanics since they're all in with that now.

Nintendo, Snes, first couple playstations. True story my brother and I went in on a ps2 together and when he left the city he just took it without asking. | Rodney is a great guy. Oops, nevermind he's a terrible human being.
He likes his sandwiches to be Turkey and Swiss. Triangle cut. Let vern have his crust. Poison the part Rodney eats.

I loved one of the original couple- put tons of time into getting past all the missions and earning all the cash and parts. Then we saved that so that people could use that to make any mech they wanted and then battle the fuck out of each other. I would make mechs with serious sounding names based on Battletech mechs like Warhammer and Maurauder. My friend (while drunk) made a pink and purple plaid mech he called the "Ass Baby" and gods forbid you lost to him while he was in that mech, because then he would get up, bend over to look you in the eye, then start smacking his ass while grinning: this was his patented "Ass Baby dance" that showed he;d kicked your ass in a pink and purple plaid mech.
I love that game, but getting enough shit each time a new version came out just took so much dedication. | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |

I remember the day I went to Wal-Mart and picked up an Atari 2600 like it was yesterday. Donkey Kong fever. That thing had a joy stick with just one button. I went thru 3 of the joysticks playing the Track and Field game. 8 bit was king back then. Lol.

GameCube is the best console ever man. You are missing out! | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"
