it's about that time to buy a new car
I'm planning on buying used one more time and then maybe buying something new or at least NEWER/pricier that I wouldn't mind throwing more money into. But for now I just need something dependable (I drive all over the place for work)
I'm not a car person at all. I don't know one car brand from another. Tell me about your experiences with these brands. Which ones were solid? Which ones blow? Tell me everything

It looks like you have some SUVs in there- do you need that extra hauling space? If not, stick with smaller because you'll have easier parking. | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |

I don't need extra hauling space OR a smaller car for easier parking really. No place that I go requires me to parallel park. I haven't parallel parked once since I started driving

Also for the record these aren't ones that I have my eye on or anything, these are just a random assortment that my local dealer has right now

I voted for the 2010 Ford Fusion.
But most cars by Ford are ??? at best.

Only the Toyota options are good choices from your list. I wouldn’t touch the others due to being crap, expensive to fix (Acura especially), or being uncomfortable to be in |

My guess is, for those prices, all those vehicles have over (or close to) 100k miles on them. Make sure to factor in maintenance costs to any regular payment.

Based on age and price I think the 2008 Volvo XC90 is the best option

Volvo makes good shit, but those listed are in the old enough that you'll probably have to have some work done category, and they are ridiculously expensive to get parts for or have work done on. That's the issue with all the Euro stuff.
Toyota and Nissan are workhorses. Just dependable as hell That said, the short wheelbase suv's often ride like a grain truck. I avoid Ford like the plague unless you are buying a truck. GM still makes a better truck, but Ford makes some pretty good ones.
Look at mileage, make sure you take whatever you look at around some curves at highway speeds. Looking at cars in that age range, front end issues are more expensive than anything. Struts, cv joints, etc...

voted none - keep waiting for something better. But out of those, I voted 2010 Fusion. Toyota's definitely a better brand but those are some p old cars that I'm assuming have a lot more miles on them
Definitely would go with used rather than new tho. Even if it's just a lightly used car, still a way better investment than buying something that's gonna depreciate by $1000+ by the time you've driven it home

However, with dealer financing what it currently is, you can actually get new for a lower interest rate and lower payments than something a couple years old with 10-20k miles on it. Plus, depending on the dealer, most new cars come with 2-3 year free maintenance.
