"There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."
Akecheta's suddenly the host I'm rooting for the most I think? Not sure what to make of the 'Deathbringer' stuff, like if Ford wants Ghost Nation to use Dolores' uprising as a distraction while they escape the park, or if they're actually going to work against her? The climax of this season just got a ton more interesting
Along with The Riddle of the Sphinx this might be my fav episode of the season. It's crazy how in the space of a single episode they could make you care about a character.
It packed a lot of emotional punches too, probably more than the show ever has before. I thought Lee's breakdown was a good moment, when he realised how awful they were treating the hosts.
And holy shit, that 'Heart Shaped Box' sequence was incredible. Possibly my favourite cover in the entire show. I've gotta seek that out
that was unexpected but very good. the episode felt like Richard's flashback from LOST, Ab Aeterno. at first you're like WAIT WHAT?! but at the end of it you know it was no time runtime wasted, at all. btw me posting jack's eye was mererly coincidence.
now, with everyone seemingly in place except for maybe a handful of players, I can't wait for the meltdown. the next 2 and a half hours will be SO awesome!

Only thing I knew about it beforehand was that someone called it Westworld's The Constant so my expectations were p high going in. I was stoked when I realized it'd focus on Zahn McClarnon. That's twice he's shown up out of the blue to steal the season on two different series, this and Fargo. I loved him on Fargo so much. Hope he isn't wasted going forward now
I loved the reveal at the end that he was talking to Maeve through her daughter, that was really cool
Finally watched this episode since I was out of town- when Akecheta "died" to go looking for his wife, it looks like Maeve was on the table behind him, so I think that's when he communicated his "uniqueness" in the first place (especially since he'd gone ten years without an update). It's not long after when he was trying to help her and her daughter.
