New movie from Netflix that we were talking about in some other thread somewhere. Based on a good lil short film

Just released on Netflix yesterday I think. I'm gonna watch it........NOW! And so is Zersch. Yippee

Okay, that was P. GOOD.

My favorite part might have been how indifferent the baby looked at almost all times when on screen.

And then the lil wave at the end.

Here's the short, same pair of directors did both. I sorta wish it was just Freeman/the baby at the end of the movie instead of the girl being with them. I think the situation is a lot more dire when it's just the two of them and he's gonna turn and devour her if he doesn't think of something, so the short definitely has that over the movie. But I understand why they had to throw some more characters in there, it'd probably be too boring if it was just them two. I guess I just wish they found a way for him to shake the girl by the end, I love the meat on a stick aspect a lot more if he's alone

I liked the airdrops, that was a nice touch. Complete with the rod that you use to kill yourself. DARK!

I wish you watched Congo in its entirety and waited for Martin Freeman to pop up the whole time

I will say I went into this movie knowing absolutely nothing about it. I really thought it was just Martin Freeman trying to get across the country with a baby on his back.

So I've been in for quite the surprise. And I'm only halfway through.

At what point did you realize it was a zombie movie? I was thinking that to myself while watching

It wasn't until she pulled out the pen and the rod came out that I was like OH... OH..

Movie was super dark for me. It had its moments but the whole time I was SAD. Even the ending was really sad for me. Knowing that safety was so close for them I guess??

I liked the whole thing but I really felt like Martin getting bit was kind of forced? I know he was reaching for the baby but he practically just threw his arm up at her mouth and I wasn't super stoked about that. You'd think he'd be WAY more careful.

I think Martin did great, though! Didn't like the little girl too much and she didn't add a whole lot for me?

I thought every other character was a really good addition, though.

Wasn't a huge fan of her either. also thought she was a boy until the scene when she was stuck in the cage oops

Agreed about him getting bit. I thought it'd be some really dramatic sequence where the mom was going for the baby and the only way he could save her was putting himself at risk like that, but it was just careless

I thought she was a boy too.

Until he called her a girl.
