Please fill in the following information as best you can.

Character Details
Labyrinth 3 is a fully anonymous game. That means all players are required to create a character for the game. They will post in game as that character. It's not too heavily enforced, meaning that you won't be penalised for posting out of character or revealing your true identity. But in the interests of creating a more enjoyable and immersive game, characters tend to work better.

To better tend to the plot and setting of the game, we may tweak the character you give us. Particularly the background and name. If this is the case we'll inform you beforehand, and your application won't be penalised for this. As far as rules go concerning character creation, they need to be human or at least close to it. Anything else is fair game. Exceptions may be made if we really like the idea.

Name: Your character's Name.
Avatar: This will be your in game avatar. It should be an image of the character you're playing. There aren't too many restrictions on this, but if the avatar you select isn't appropriate for some reason we'll tell you. Your application won't be penalised for this.
Background: Type a very brief description or backstory for your desired character. It doesn't need to be in depth. A paragraph will do it.
Opt-out: Please put yes, if you are willing to instead play a pre-designed character. If you really want to play the character you made up, put no and we won't consider it. If you put yes, we will ask you before the game if we want you to instead play a character we have designed.

Gameplay Information
We want to know a little about the games you've played in the past. Nothing too in depth, it just might help with the casting process.

Your best game: Please describe the game you played best in online. Posting a link to the game alongside this will help.
Why you want to play: Just sum up very briefly what interests you about Labyrinth 3, and why you'd like to play the game.
Activity Level: Please state how active you will be when it comes to participation in this game. Ideally we want very active players but due to the nature of the game, it isn't always strictly necessary.
Gameplay Style: How do you intend to play this game? Have you got any strategies in mind? Just briefly sum it up.

Contact Address
We will need to be able to contact you before the game starts. As a result of this, please give us a permanent point of contact. This must be a contact address that you will actively check and will be able to respond to the messages we send. This can be an instant messenger account, an email address or even the link to a forum you will be posting on where we can send you a message.

Deadlines
Thanks for taking the time to fill all of this in. Good luck with the application process. We will try to respond to successful applicants without too much delay, although there is a 3 month period between application start times and the game beginning.

Generally speaking, the sooner you send an application the better. Spots will not be decided and filled on a specific day, it'll be an ongoing process. If all the spots have been filled, late applicants might still be able to play in the case of last minute drop-outs or unforeseen circumstances. It does happen. Please keep checking your contact address as listed above.

March 1st is the absolute cut off point for applicants. Beyond that, it's unlikely we will take any more on but depending on a number of factors it's possible. If you don't get accepted to play the game, there will be positions open for spectators who can view the game as it unfolds. It's still a very entertaining experience.

Just for the record, if you really don't want to make a character for whatever reason you're welcome to leave the character section blank. There will be a few preset characters we have already designed, and it'd be nice if some people were able to play those instead but it's by no means necessary.

If too many people leave it blank and we want some of you to still design a character, we'll approach you and let you know.

Role: Suspicious Nutjob.

Win Condition: Say "bito" 1,000,000,000,000 times.

Role Effects: You're the kind of bito that hoards all of the weapons, steals the body armour, and wastes group discussion time by making random scum accusations. For some reason, nobody admires this strategy, but you're pretty sure that that just shows how jealous they are of your bitofulness. Either way, all lynch votes against you count triple.
