That was a p sweet battle sequence. And I'm glad they finally showed some vulnerability in Dolores this season, her one-note world-dominating robot persona was getting old. The guy that plays Abernathy continues to kill it in his small part
Seeing the Samurai World was cool, looking forward to more of that. The new character from that area doesn't seem that interesting yet but we'll see
Also fuck why did they have to bring Felix and Sylvester back this BLOWS!! At least Lee was some good comic relief on that mission, why did we have to throw in those bozos
I was actually glad to see Felix and Sylvester back if anything to tie up some loose ends. I was wondering how they played such a large role in the host rebellion last season and hadn't been mentioned or shown even once this season.
For the first 5 or 10 minutes when they were in British-Colonial-Indiaworld (not quite the same ring to it as Westworld) I was confused I fast forwarded too far into the HBO go playback and that I missed something but I guess they really did just kinda jump right in! I was praying that the girl was going to wash up on the beach next to the Tiger and the Man in Black was going to be the one to find her to see if we could get more info about her sooner rather than later but guess we're gonna need to wait for that.
As far as the new-content is concerned I guess I'm just having trouble understanding Bernard's mindset? He knows he is a host and I'm not saying that means he should automatically be wanting to work with the other ones, but one moment he seems helpful for Delos while doing his own thing and the next he is helping Dolores, but then also doing his own thing once she leaves.
But if the first episode with him floating in the water wasn't enough I guess now we know Teddy is eeffffffffffed after showing some sentience and not doing exactly what Dolores asks him all the time. I did also like how they made her into a more complex character this episode with still being a hard-ass while caring for her "father." Also excited to see Samurai world next world finally though because I think that was different from the scene we saw in the beginning.
and BOOM goes the dynamite - that episode was REALLY good!
and you know what? the BEST part was...TREVOR, getting a super script uploaded by bernard, making him the most honorable AND fastest gunslinger in the world. his piece of fun/action was SO awesome, I loved that! pow pow pow just clipping one after the other. I could watch a WHOLE movie of just, THAT :D felt like he got a great nod there to maybe finally close his chapter, knowing he's gone since he caught one to the dome to save a woman, and now it makes sense for his character. best scene!
other notes:
yes felix and syl are back! phew, dodged the "nade" right there I guess! how did felix gain that weight while escaping death?! meh
haha, and that blonde chick is back too, the snake tattoo girl, hells yeah!
lee's moment was cool aswell, he does know his shit.
intro had me think it's a flashback for some reason. liked the vibe of it.
teddy doin his own thang, good for him!
dolores getting sidetracked by her pops is not good I guess.
intense abanetti (I know that's probably spelled wrong) again, speaking in "tongues"/code gibberish, always cool!
bernard getting a glimpse at/and recovering some of that code, looking fior the truth, intriguing.
AAAAND samurai incoming, well, fantastic!
"There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."
I've really dug this season thus far. I was wondering if we would get a multiple timelines thing going on again like last season, and this new setup is interesting!
Really loving Dolores and Teddy right now, that's probs my fav storyline.
My only question mark this episode: What was the deal with the girl in the beggining who fell into the water with the tiger, only to wash ashore to be greeted by the Indians?
Did she solely exist simply to explain the tiger's appearance in Westworld? Seems kinda pointless if so
FELIX!!!!!!!!!!!! Boc you're such a hater!!!!!!! leave him alone!!
Indian..world was cool to see. Eastworld?? I dunno, but it was a fun/different vibe. She seems boring so far but who knows
Lee continues to shine. And Steven Ogg's scene was great, I loved that. I think his name is Rebus
Proud of Teddy for going against Dolores but he is so fucked because of it. And agreed that Dolores got better this episode, she's been starting to piss me off recently. She's probably gonna tyrannical like KHALEESI. Fuck Khalessi
My friend from college got into the industry and worked with the actor on something. He always comments on her facebook posts and is super encouraging and excited for her about stuff, it's gr8
