The flashbacks still outshined the present day stuff by quite a bit this episode, there's been such a huge difference in quality between the two this season. The Dolores/Arnold stuff was especially good again
MIB's present day stuff is getting kinda interesting at least. Sad that GIANCARLO couldn't stick around longer but that was a good scene
oh and I figured they'd use it outside of the trailer, but still was vry happy that they included that Runaway piano cover in there. That was great. Although I feel like it could've been saved for a more impactful scene but meh
The composer who does all the Westworld music is the fkn man I have all his music on a Spotify play list and runaways is probably one of the best ones.
I liked Young William and Dolores a lot as a pair in S1 and even knowing that it went VERY south afterwards I feel like I'm going to be sad watching the MIB devolve into what he is now.
Definitely agree about the Flash back stuff being more interesting and I'm kinda glad they stayed away from Bernard this episode because it kept the focus mostly on the stuff going on within the park on the current timeline (minus the Flash backs obviously) so it didn't seem muddied with all these storylines at once. Can't wait to see Dolores and the MIB meet at the weapon and see that confrontation I feel like thats gonna be a huge scene.
Also, Giancarlo Esposito???? NAILED that cameo I was shocked to even see him in this at all when I saw him come on the screen I was like "hey that looks like giancarlo Esposito and I immediately Googled it and looked and behold I guess he isn't too busy atm. Still kinda sad that Revolution didn't work out becsuse he was great in that but that's another story completely to Westworld stuff.
GIANCARLOOOOOOO! That was a nice surprise. And Hanzee! Can't wait for more out of Hanzee and I hope Giancarlo is back at some point. The mass suicide scene was cool
William quickly became a dick!
Glad to see Logan back. The scene where everyone freezes on him was my fav of the episode
I love MiB and Lawrence scenes
I like Jonathan Tucker, was surprised to see him show up
maaaaan, 'dem flashbacks, love 'em!
logan/hanzee/william/daddy delos, ford/bernard/dolores, getting a glimpse of the bigger picture again, all great scenes
and YES, lawrence! I really liked him in season 1, thought he was out of the picture so I'm glad to see him back. MIB and him truly make a great "duo". fun fact: the first s2 teaser had that hanging scene in it, I thought it could have been LOGAN for some reason, turned out it was my main host lawrence! very cool!
and that nice little story GUS told the two about elephants....just BOSS! speaking of boss, that quick draw teddy pulled on those confederate state fellas. also, just BOSS!
loved the episode!
PS: lee looked also, VERY BOSS, in his new treasure hunter outfit!
"There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."
