You wake up disoriented in a green valley you've never seen before.
You see a cave and decide to go check it out.

Inside the cave there is an old man, you approach him and he says:
"It's dangerous to go alone, take one of these weapons to help you on your travels" and points to a table in front of him.
On the table is a lightsaber straight from Star Wars, a hand phaser from Star Trek, and a wand straight from Harry Potter.

Which one do you take?

lightsaber would be coolest but I wouldn't be able to do much with it. And I wouldn't be able to use the wand at all

They are all toys, so you're better off scrounging around for a rock or a stick or something.

Primate immediately starts levitating around the cave.

I don't know enough HP stuff to do the wand correctly, but I have a couple phaser replicas and so I know the working mechanisms perfectly (beam adjustment, power setting, etc.). You can use the phaser to heat rocks to keep warm if it gets cold:



You also have settings for stun, heavy stun for those large creatures, disrupt/kill, and disintegrate.

I'm really tempted to choose the wand so I can Accio stuff to me when I'm too lazy to get it and because of it's general usefulness.

Phaser would be the best weapon for sure though, hmmm.

Assuming the wand grants you some working knowledge of how to use it, the wand is the easy answer here. Want to fly? Sure. Want to attack from afar? Sure. You can pretty much do anything with the wand.

Also, what will we be facing? That would change my mind. If I just get to keep it and use it for the rest of my life, the wand would be the best.

If I'm going to war or something, I'd probably pick the phaser. I see no use for the lightsaber without proper training and it would likely result in me melting many things or killing people accidentally.

I actually had to decide which use of phaser heating a rock for warmth to use. I was going to use an image from the episode "The Enemy Within" but didn't like the images I was finding, so decided to go with this one from "All Our Yesterdays" instead.
