Big Dyl taking over this week. In honor of the masters a simple question. Have you ever golfed?
Mini golf does not count. Discuss | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

Never played a course but been to the driving range a few times. I find it boring. |

Yeah, but we used to fill a bag with beers and do a beer a hole. By the lower nine, you were screaming "mulligan" before you even hit. | How can you have any pudding if you won't eat your meat? |

I've gone a couple times with friends and it's really fun if you don't take it seriously/have plenty of beer. If I was playing for real I wouldn't like it at all though

there were a few fathers days when i actually had a relationship with him where him, my brother, my uncles, my cousin, and my grandpa would go out for golf. They were all experienced golfers and then there is lil ole gay me who had no idea what I was doing the entire time.
I was wrong about Jamie he is a true visionary and I name him my successor |

Only the driving range. I always wanted to play a full game with Mr. C but he lost interest in it shortly after I moved up and then lost all his clubs in the move. |

Growing up, I played a ton of golf. I had a membership at the city course every summer starting from when I was 10. I'd ride my bike to the course, grab my clubs out of my locker, and just play until I was tired, and would go home. Almost joined the golf team in H.S., but was better at track, and they were the same season.
Played a bunch in college, but haven't played a full round since 2006. Playing while in grad school didn't work out, as I didn't know any golfers, and grad school + having a kid made it so I couldn't afford to play. Same thing in my current situation. My clubs still yell at me every time I go into my storage closet.
tl;dr -- Yes, I've played golf.

I used to play a lot, but my daughter got to a certain age and I gave it up for about 10 years in favor of her activities. Now I play 8 to 10 times a season if I'm lucky. 2 to 3 customer tourneys a year and an odd round here and there. Love the game, but am doing well if I play bogey golf these days. It's a maddening game that can never be mastered.

I wish I got to play that much. In college, I would routinely shoot upper 70s-low 80s, but that was as good as I got. If you haven't had a chance, play a round at elevation. It's fun :)

I have heard it is fun at elevation. That was about as good as I ever got too. High single digits. Some nice hill courses around me, but nothing at real elevation. Once your kids hit college, maybe you can pick it back up again.

I hit the ball ok most of the time, but so much shorter than I used to, and don't have the free hours it takes to hone a good short game anymore, so it's just a good excuse to walk around outside these days.

Golf is like anything else. It is what you make of it.
I enjoy it when I have time and money to burn.
