I guess I think about driving a lot but I am actually curious about whether a lot of the "younger generations" can drive stick shifts. I learned on one and so did both of my kids, growing up. Also, when I watch The Amazing Race I'm always amazed that some teams can't drive a stick since that is usually required at some point on the race since they're driving in other countries.

Sadly I do not.
One of multiple reasons I would never do TAR | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

I learned how to drive with a stick-shift and didn't even own a car with an automatic transmission until well into my 30s. I still worry I'll reflexively go to hit the clutch with my left foot and push in the emergency brake by mistake.

No. The first vehicle I had was a manual pick up truck Mr. C bought for me. He tried teaching me in it and he's a terrible teacher and I thought I was gonna die so I told him hey let me drive your fucking car. |

I have hit the gas and brake at the same time thinking I am driving a stick. I do not recommend. The car did like an emergency shut off in the middle of the road. |
