General Rules

1. Be active in the game no matter what your role is. Inactive players will get left in the game. Everyone's role can be important and with the number of songs available to each person, anything may become key.
2. Do not talk about the game outside the thread, unless your role specifically allows it. Unless you are eglefan. He already figured the setup out before I came up with it.
3. Do not quote anything sent to you in a private message. Use your own words if you want to pass along the information.
4. Ask the modykins if you have a question about anything. If it isn't something you would know, we'll say so.
5. Have fun. It is a game. Play to win but also play the game to enjoy it.
6. Try to post at least once a day phase.
7. Do not edit the content of your posts. It is not fair if you post something that some people get to see and others don't. Breaking of this rule can result in a quick death by MOD. The MOD is allowed to edit his/her posts. if you do an updated vote count and edit it we will be lenient since you're doing us a favor.
8. Try to stay on topic, but in games like this, wehat the topic is can vary widely.
9. Vote with ##lynch. Only ##lynch votes count. ex. ##lynch vlady It helps the mods if you make this separate from any text, but we'll try to follow along. ##unlynching is helpful but *not* required.
10. Flavor may or may not be important, so feel free to play flavor all you want. On the other hand, it may not be useful to announce your artist as it may make you a target, so keep that to yourself.
11. This setup is similar to normal mafia- no super strange setups like Kyoto Song where you have to kill one BG to take out the whole group. The only major difference is people have a set of options to do each night rather than one possibkle action, like everyone is a jack of all trades.
12. With this in mind, please note the special love song/break up song rules listed below.
13. The modykins is usually only on from 9-5ish during the day. If a lynch happens while I'm not around, please lock this bitch up.
14. Attacks will not be announced in the day writeup. If you tried to kill someone and couldn't, you need to announce this yourself... if you want to. ;)

Lynches are done publicly with a needed 50% +1 votes for a kill. (e.g. With 20 alive it will take 11 votes for a lynch). No lynch is allowed. Plutrality is in effect. Deadlines are 24 hour days/nights, with weekends counting as one 24 hour period.

In the case of a tie at deadline, sudden death rules go into effect. Only those tied folks can be voted on. Whoever gets voted first (or the other person/people get unvoted) will be lynched.

Love Songs/Breakup Songs Special Rules

Everyone is able to perform one action each night. Each action is a song. There are two general song types that are available: LOVE SONGS and BREAKUP SONGS


1) There are two sub categories of love songs- You can either make two players lovers using your song or you can make a player your lover.
2) Unless otherwise stated, a person can only have one lover at any one time. If they already have a lover, a love song will be wasted.
3) Love songs can be performed only at night. If more than one person attempts a love song on the same player(s), the person with the longest love song title will be successful. The other player’s love song action will be wasted.
4) As noted on the order of operations posted below, love songs are the last action resolved each night. Anything that causes the love song not to work (dead player, roleblock, etc.) will negate the love song.
5) Once lovers are made they continue until negated by a break up song.
6) Break up songs can be performed day or night. PMing the mod during the day will initiate a daytime breakup song. The song played will be announced in the thread. A daytime use will mean that player cannot use an action the following night.
7) Break up songs are effective immediately. As noted in the order of operations below, they are the first action resolved each night, so roleblocks, deaths, and the like do not block a breakup song.
8) Some players have actions that can only be performed on their "lovers". Break ups will stop that action from being successful.
9) Killing a lover kills both lovers, whether night kill or lynch. No other actions effect both lovers unless noted otherwise.

General Notes:

- Each day will note the successful love songs and breakup songs played during the night.
- Each day will list the current lovers, as well as anyone who broke up during the night.
- If a daytime breakup song is played, it will be noted when it is played. If the mod was PMed before a lynch occurred, the breakup song is in effect before the lynch, even if the song has not been posted yet.
- Every time a player dies, the last successful song they played will be posted (with one exception that will be noted). No other abilities will be noted at that time other than their band name and alignment.
