this one had an old horror movie feel to it and i'm not sure if i liked it all that much.
i feel like they really didn't do a good job explaining the concept of this one throughout. i usually have an idea of why certain things are happening in an episode and feel really connected but this one was just kind of a big chase scene.
still enjoyable i think but i dunno. not my favorite.

ppp solid ep, agreed that it could've used some kind of backstory though. I guess we're left to assume the dogs were built for military purposes but ended up backfiring and wiping out most of humanity?
Definitely had a zombie movie feel to it. The design of the dogs was really cool, and the effects were really impressive considering how much screentime it got (being in black & white probably helped with that). Those things were simultaneously cute and terrifying
The ending reveal of what was in the box was pretty great, all of that over a teddy bear :(

I dug it
On a technical level it was great. Really well shot and the black and white worked well. The chase was exciting and had some creative stuff to it. And the CGI dog was the stand out. It looked so good. I was thinking the whole time Boc that the black and white was definitely helping, but boi did it look great
It wasn't TOO exciting of an episode overall but as I said on a technical level it worked perfectly. David Slade directed it and he did a handful of Hannibal episodes which is one of the most visually pleasing shows I've ever seen BOC!!!!!!!!!!
Almost felt more like a really well done short film than a Black Mirror episode

I feel like it started out even a bit campy at some point? But it came back to a more serious tone towards the end.

I need to rewatch this so I can understand the significance of the teddy bears and piece together what the girl was talking about over the walkie. Cause I am just still confused about it.

It's implied that the main lady's kid was dying back at their base and they were trying to get a teddy bear for him to comfort him in his last few days

I dont see how once you find a dog, you ever get rid of it? Ignoring the part where the girl was tagged after killing the dog, we saw other dogs show up at the warehouse and the van and the crashed car, eventually they would find whoever got rid of the first dog (thinking as if the girl survived and wasn't retagged)

Meh, this episode had a major case of idiot ball.
Why did she use the radio after getting rid of the tracker?
The dog tracked her after booting up again because of her bleeding, why was she still bleeding, why didn't she wrap her leg up while in the tree counting?
Why didn't she fuck up the dog while he was out of juice?
Why did she fight the dog in the car, why didn't she turn off the radio ASAP?
ugh.
Looked ok though | |

Wow this show has really gone down the shitter
what the FUCK was that?
Like I get the robot dog/soldier thing is a cool concept but that was just really dull
I mean it was just pointless scene after pointless scene, what the fuck were we supposed to get from that
This may take the cake as the worst episode of black mirror
That dumb bitch did it all for a teddy bear...and got 2 others killed.

I like the theory that |
the teddy bears are related to the monkey from Black Museum, and so they were actually retrieving one of Jack(?)'s deceased relatives from that crate |
