So the other night I had my first FE dream. I've had a couple where I was browsing the site but never one involving a member directly. That's when one of you shows up and invades my personal space without warning.

My first invader was Dylan. For some reason in dream-scape world he was in the country and we were meeting up to hang out. He came into Birmingham on the train (big city not far from where I live) and I had to direct him to the next station along. This turned out to be not only one of the strangest and most unsettling forum dreams I've had but quite up there on the list in general (and I have weird dreams).

For some reason to begin with I had some kind of virtual viewport. I was sat at home and I could look into this device which gave me a visual of everything he saw. I have no idea how or why, I can only presume this was the "in-dream" rationale for why I could see what he could see in the city when I was clearly not there, just relaying instructions over the phone.

Anyway I directed him through the city to where I thought the station was. He suggested he get a train from another station (one which doesn't even exist) and take him straight to the one he needed to be at. I insisted that he couldn't do that. Again, not sure why. I told him it was no more than a ten minute walk at which point he started running through the city centre and following my vague directions.

My IRL sense of direction sucked and even in the dream I had the notion that I didn't really know where I was directing him but was just hoping to find some kind of landmark. At some point around here I was no longer viewing through a virtual reality thing attached to him, but a virtual reality device attached to some kind of robotic humanoid drone, running alongside him.

Anyway things took a turn for the worst when we stumbled into the "rough" part of the city. Birmingham does have plenty of rough areas I wouldn't normally want to walk through and in the dream it was getting to dusk, a really bad time to be in a bad area. There's a lot of gang violence in these parts, I tend to avoid them like the plague but we were hopelessly lost and stuck out here.

Still I was determined to find this station and not too worried about my own safety because I was sat safely at home and controlling some kind of robot. So we pushed on and we wound up in some kind of multi-storey housing complex full of dark dingy corridors with graffiti and blood splatters everywhere.

At around this point I suddenly wasn't controlling a robot but was actually there in person. A couple of really rough looking guys showed up and we asked them for directions. They followed us around and I said something to piss one of them off who proceeded to stab me in the wrist with a poison knife. I felt my vision blur and I lost sense of everything as they fled the scene.

Still the two of us had to press on, with me dying and no hope of finding our destination. I think we did find it but there was no way to get down to it that didn't involve a 20 ft drop. We had to walk the long way around to reach it...which took us onto a cliff edge along the coastline. There's no sea in this city, it's totally landlocked.

But in dream-scape we were forced to climb a very steep cliff, with stormy waves battering the sides constantly and me dying from poison. Finally as we neared the top of our long struggle, I was caught by a stray wave, plunged into the sea and I think I woke up at that point. I'm fairly sure there was another segment where I was hospitalised and possibly running the same route in an alternate universe because I died in the one where I was poisoned. I'm not altogether sure about that bit.

I blame a few days of playing Skyrim far too much and a real life experience where we were stranded in the city, lost and stumbling into the rough side of town.

Next time one of you decides to invade my dream-scape, please make it a bit less complicated.

I don't think I've had a dream about FE specifically but I have had dreams about browsing forums in general. I'm on way too many...

About the users specifically or just that you're sat at the PC typing away?

Yeah, same here. I used to get into rather wordy discussions often, so it would just be paragraph after paragraph for the most part.
