My team's headed the same way. My bastion of hope for a Rodgers semi-replacement was Jimmy G but Kyle Shanahan said today he might not even start this season?? wtf

His contract's up at the end of the year tho. So they'd probably have to franchise tag him and pay ~$20 million for a guy that's never started for them. Doesn't make any sense

Brock Osweiler got paid by Houston after not doing anything Denver. San Fran will just offer him a contract at a mid-QB level salary.

And how'd that work out? (: This is different anyway, since they actually have a chance to try him out for half a season before deciding to drop a huge contract on him

I would think you'd play him at least 4-6 games at the end of the year, take a few weeks to get him familiar with the playbook, but playing him lets you see how he does, and gives you momentum going into next season.
