CALLING ALL ZERSCH'S AND OTHERS
Haven't watched nearly enough horror movies yet this season but I wanna change that. I'm looking for some hidden gems that have come out the last few years

I always dig through lists like this and they're usually pretty good. I've only seen The Void from this list which I dug. Anyone seen any of the others or have any other good recommendations?

Top three mainstream ones from this year that I can think of are probably:
1. Get Out
2. It Comes at Night
3. It
No interest in seeing Happy Death Day or Annabelle

The Void is easily my favorite from that list. The others I've seen are:
- The Devil's Candy - Same guy that did The Loved Ones, I think I suggested this one to you at one point. I actually plan on watching it again because I didn't pay 100% attention to it while watching it, but what I did pay attention to was interesting.
- The House on Willow Street - Got progressively crazier as it went along. Lots of gore. I watched it randomly on Netflix and liked it but it wasn't anything amazing.
- A Dark Song - I liked it, and it was a different approach to possession movies so it got bonus points in my book. Still it wasn't anything remarkable but as another random Netflix watch it served its purpose.
- Dig Two Graves - I haven't seen it myself but I've had a couple of friends recommend it and say it was great. I trust the opinion of one of these people.
I'll probably check out the other ones on this list just to fulfill some imaginary October horror movie quota that I have seriously failed to fill this year. Annabelle: Creation was fucking terrible. Happy Death Day I've seen mixed reviews on; I'll check it out when it's streaming somewhere.
I suggest Creep 2 (obv.), The Babysitter (horror comedy), and ... The Cult of Chucky. Huh, I guess it's either been a slow year for horror (outside of the mainstream smash hits) or I just didn't invest much time in seeking out diamonds in the rough this year.

Watched Creep 2 Zersch

Good stuff. Hard to top the first because you knew what Aaron's motives were this time around and knew what he was capable of but they still managed to keep me guessing a little bit. Sarah was an IDIOT! But a pretty good character. Duplass is effortlessly perfect in that role |

Just watched a movie in Netflix called Would You Rather.
Great Idea, but it's an obvious low budget film. That doesn't really bother me, but the acting was very poor. Wasn't terrible; I watched all the way through, but could have been way better.
