Movie was fun! I kinda was hoping/expecting it'd go a bit deeper and try to say something about Wiseau's unfettered ambition but it kinda settled for purely being a funny fly on the wall look at The Room
The makeup on Franco was incredible, especially since he's an actor where I have a hard time separating him from his characters typically, but that definitely wasn't the case here. Acting-wise though, I think Dave Franco stole the movie, he was really the heart and soul. James did a great impression but not too much beyond that
Agreed, fun movie. Not much more. Franco got totally lost in the role. I could hear his normal voice slip in there every so often which reminded me how great of a job he was doing, especially with the accent. AND THE LAUGH. By far the funniest moments for me was when he'd do the classic open mouthed Tommy laugh. "ha-haa"
