I guess the hype kinda dissapeared because of the leak... which is a shame. It's a great episode though that deserves it's own thread. | 'Oh my god, it's full of stars!'

These series long awaited Stark reunions should really be 50x more emotional than this

Somehow I kept myself from watching the leak. I was so worried for Bronn for the entirety of the ending battle. And then I was very worried for Jamie when he was charging Drogon. So much worrying!!
RIP Qyburn's arbalest tho; I hope his team of engineers get to work on more right away because dragons are Westerosi cheat codes, that shit wasn't even close to being close.
Did Sam's dad get the baptism by fire treatment? Or a Dothraki sickle in the neck? I lost track of him with everything burning... everywhere.

Was legit more emotional to see Arya and Brienne spar than to see Sansa/Bran/Arya together again.

Davos had a couple of great lines I chuckled at.
I already forget which ones exactly, but he continues to be delightful and in the running for series mvp.

They try and make something emotional and monumental but the problem with that was that they didn't establish any sort of bond between them in seasons prior.
Sure, they're family. But the short time they had together in S1 was like this:
Bran>Sansa = no communication shown
Arya>Bran = no verbal communication shown
Sansa>Arya = a hateful relationship shown
There was nothing for us to feel nostalgic or happy about, as there was literally no context within the scene for the viewers besides that they are 'family'.
Exposition is everything, and they dropped the ball on this one. Jon and Arya's reunion on the other hand will probably be a bit more meaningful. | 'Oh my god, it's full of stars!'

I was also worried about Drogon/Dany, if he hit a vital spot he might be ded.
That whole scene was way too tense because I didn't want the leads to die yet.

Makes me wonder if there will even be a Stark reunion in the books considering back in S1 it seemed like the show was preparing to go GRRM's intended ways, so they already put the footwork for future plots that were eventually dropped when they decided to make their own shit up (for example; Illyrio and Varys' bond would have made a lot more sense if they had actually used Illyrio again in S5 as they probably initially planned). | 'Oh my god, it's full of stars!'

I get that it'd either way be more meaningful in the books due to that we can go inside their heads during their POV chapters, but even then, the book had just as much lack of communication between the Stark siblings as the show initially did back in S1. And they don't think about each other as much as you'd think.
And considering that Bran, Arya and Sansa are going through much different things than the show made them go through, as well as their futures seeming to go in vastly different directions than the show portrayed I wouldn't be shocked.
The show at this point is succumbing to A LOT of fan-service, and I feel like the Stark reunion is one of them just due to the severe lack of emotion from the audience's during the reunion. | 'Oh my god, it's full of stars!'

This battle plot armor is forged from Valyrian steel!!
P. good ending. I watched the final five minutes when it leaked and was worried for Bronn the whole time. He's the greatest. Him and Jorah are for sure my favorite two living characters. I was looking on Twitter after the leak and all the fan boys and fan girls kept screaming crying at Bronn and swore death upon him for hurting the dragon. They said they hope "jamme" and "brawn" are dead at the end there. I seriously saw that spelling countless of times. Those people are morons
I was rooting SO HARD for Bronn over Dany, not even close. Imagine if that arrow hit Dany dead on and she was carried out of fucking orbit by it. It'd be the single greatest television episode of all time
Have a bad feeling Bronn is toast next week tho. I can see it. If Jaime and Bronn are taken prisoner by Dany, Tyrion will beg Dany to keep Jamie alive and they'll be a whole bunch of exchanges about him killing her dad etc. Tyrion convinces Dany to spare him and use him to get to Cersei, but then she turns her attention to Bronn who they don't need and Tyrion tries to save him to no avail. I SWEAR TO GOD. I would be so mad
Rest of the episode was forgettable. Arya and Sansa's reunion was such a let down. I dunno how Jon's and Sansa's reunion was the best so far, not sure if they had any real screen time together back in S1
