Sequel is coming out in a couple of months and I know a lot of us played the first so I figured I'd make a thread

Just got a 100% on Shadow of Mordor, been working at it for the last two weeks. FUN! I haven't tried to 100% a game like this since I was an achievement hunter playing Xbox 360. Finished all the outcast missions and sword/dagger/arrow missions and found all the shit. I'm working to command every single Captain/Warchief in Sauron's army so I can own that bitch

Fun game, nemesis system was cool but I have higher hopes for the sequel. I'd like it if you needed to actually know/exploit each warchief's weakness a bit more. From what I've read it sounds like they'll improve things

Combat is probably some of the best I've played. It's so unbelievably satisfying when you charge into a group and are able to handle yourself with relative ease. It's great. I liked you and your branded chiefs charging into the battle at the end, but imagine if the final battle was GRAND SCALE. Like your captain pal, the braided chick, and the dwarf all charging in with you and your warchiefs and you have to fight against an unbelievably large army. It'd be epic

Anyone play the DLC? It came with my game. Not sure if it's worth it unless it adds something

I played one of the DLCs, it didn't really add anything.

The sequel looks like it's going to be dope. I think they're really doubling down on the nemesis system and the combat.

Maybe I should finally pick this up. My uncle says it's one of his favorite games of all time. My closest friend says it was terrible.

So...not sure. But for 3 bucks that I paid, I'm sure it will satisfy. I've never been good at keeping up with story based games. I usually am best with shooters/brawlers then I don't have to play consistently or pay attention to anything. I'll give this a shot.

It's a steal for 3 bucks! I think the biggest criticism is the lack of content, like you're essentially done with the game after about 5 hours of narrative gameplay. It's only really satisfying if you go on the extra side quests.

I wouldn't really label this a story based game tbh. The story is by far the weak point and is more just an excuse for the action. I spent the majority of my time in this game free roaming and killing off the warchiefs as they kept popping up. There's so many different ways a battle can go so it feels fresh every time

It's basically a good Assassin's Creed with a meh story and orcs.
