Neill Blomkamp who did the gr8 District 9 created a new studio to produce short films for Youtube. There's three so far, and the cool thing is they're selling DLC on steam to go with each one. The soundtrack, artwork, the scripts, 3d character models for people to fuck around with. Kinda neat

The idea of the studio is to gauge interest in each short so that at least one could be turned into a feature length movie one day with enough demand

They've got three main shorts so far but also a few side ones, Sharlto Copley in the God one is funny

I thought Rakka was really solid, the wailing flesh stuck onto the Eiffel tower and the rest of the city was great. Lots of cool ideas

But Firebase was even better. The practical effects and makeup was so brutal. They teased me so hard at the end there, I'd definitely pick that one to be a feature of the two so far. Haven't watched the third yet

Makes me really sad his Alien movie was cancelled. Would've been so much better than Covenant

Did you like Chappie? I liked it, but not as much as District 9.

Didn't see it actually. Elysium was pretty decent but no where near District 9

Chappie was a depressing Short Circuit. We didn't make it all the way through.
