I used to but that shit was so expensive. You should try playing the game Eternal. Its kinda like a hybrid between Hearthstone and MTG but significantly cheaper.

I actually saw a bunch of MTG players recommend it too, I'll check it out. I really only use it to draft occassionaly and play Commander/EDH, bought this deck a while ago. Do you have to pay money to play or can you grind your way up like in Hearthstone?

I never tried the online client. Was kind of afraid to since it is a little less expensive than physical cards. I haven't played paper in a year or two now either. The last thing I did was spend way too much money (and compared to other decks it was the cheapest one) putting together a Modern merfolk deck and now it just busts a chill on a shelf. I should probably take it out and shuffle it once a week.

I never got to play any EDH but I always wanted to build a deck with Rafiq of the Many as the commander.

You don't have to spend money. It's a lot cheaper than Heartstone even. There is one mini-expansion for it though that would be a little trickier to grind for, but nothing crazy. Costs either $10 or if you want to grind for it in game, it's the same as 4 drafts. You also get rewards very frequently in the game.

Also, whenever you draft a card, it is yours permanently. Much like MTG drafts.

Nice, you should hit up your local game store! I'm sure they host modern events for like $5 or even free if ur itching to play

And you should! EDH cards are so much cheaper on Magic Online. I think my deck cost like less than $50, which sounds like a lot but is like waaaaay cheaper than paper, paper it could be 10x as much or more.

Nice I like that you get cards you draft, I heard drafting is super cheap too. I'm gonna download it and try to grind, sounds fun. I grinded my HS account from free and it wasn't too bad, just the wings got annoying.

I play it through Steam and it doesn't cost anything. Don't know how different that version is to the actual MTG website version, but it scratched the itch I had to play.

There are too many cards and too many effects. It's so confusing.
