GENERAL:
- The same general rules apply as far as normal mafia mechanics (copied from Choco):
|
--PLAY TO WIN!
Under no circumstances actually give up and stop trying to help your team. Playing poorly is fine, and to an extent expected, but sabotaging your side deliberately or through massive apathy will get you modkilled or replaced.
--Do not delete or edit your posts. Doing so compromises the integrity of the game. Would prefer for spectators and dead players not to do so, either. Moderators are allowed to do so because we are above the law.
--Dead people AND spectators: No posts with content. You died? Sucks to be you. Missed sign-ups? Too damn bad. Wait for the next game. If you're not alive, do not post game-related content. It's that simple.
--Do not directly quote your role PM or conversations with the mod. This includes both screenshots AND straight copy/paste. Paraphrase is okay. Check with me before posting if you're unsure. Generally speaking, though...if you think that you need to check with me to clear it, then you're probably saying too much.
--You do not need to post "in character" or do anything special regarding flavor. If you want to, it's fine, but it may complicate the game or accidentally give away your role, which is generally bad.
--If you think a mistake has been made, do not comment on it in the topic. Individual players may have "hidden" abilities that were not included in their role PM, but can be revealed by certain events happening in the game. Additionally, there may or may not be 'scripted sequences' of events that may change the rules of the game or do other things if certain events happen. Simply send me a PM pointing out what you think I fucked up. If it's really messed up, I'll change it. If not...then I'll let you know.
--READ THIS:
Please vote in the following format: ##Lynch: The Choco
You may unvote anytime when a lynch has not occurred with the same format: ##Unlynch: The Choco
(Edit: Vote or Lynch or whatever can be used interchangeably. Essentially, make sure you have the ##s at the beginning of your vote. If those aren't there, I'm not gonna count it.)
--Lynch is instant and day ends when a majority of votes has been reached for someone. Do not post after the deciding vote.
--You MAY vote for "No Lynch" using the same format you would to vote for a player. If No Lynch garners a majority of the votes, guess what, the day immediately ends and no one is lynched.
--If a day deadline is hit and there's no majority, one of two things will happen, depending on whether or not plurality is in effect. If Plurality IS in effect, the person with the highest number of votes will be automatically lynched, or if No Lynch has more votes than any player, day ends and no one is lynched. If two or more players are tied, the day will enter sudden death. Wait for moderator confirmation before continuing. If Plurality is NOT in effect, the day will end in a No Lynch. |
ABILITIES:
- There are four types of regular abilities: Attack, Defense, Smash, and Other
- You can use one ability per night (or day, if otherwise specified)
- Only "Smash" abilities can kill another player. However, using one comes at a risk: if a player uses a Smash move and gets attacked, they will receive 25% more damage. (i.e. if they get attacked for 40 they'll receive 50)
- Different characters have different % where they can KO a player with a smash move. This % is applied AFTER the damage from the smash attack.
Ex:
1. Mario wants to attack Luigi with a smash attack
2. Luigi is at 80% damage, and Mario's smash attack deals 20% and KOs at 100%
3. Mario hits Luigi, which KOs him because he's at 100% damage after the hit
Note: for those unfamiliar with SSB, you can go over 100% damage. The max is 999%
FINAL SMASH:
- Each day, there will be a smash ball floating around, waiting to be claimed. However, one can't just take it: your fellow players have to let you take it. Every day, there will be a vote for who gets to use their Final Smash
- The voting works essentially the same as lynching. Vote like ##Smash: [Player] or ##Unsmash: [Player]
- When a player receives a final smash, they MAY choose to wait to use it. However, doing so comes at a significant risk. If the player takes any damage that night, and did not use the Final Smash, their first attacker will steal it
ITEMS:
- Item(s) will be revealed at the beginning of the day. Anyone may choose to forgo their lynch vote in favor of putting their name in for an item instead. If more than one person goes in for one, one of them will be randomly chosen to receive it. You will be told who received what at the end.
- The actual effect each item has will not officially be revealed to anyone except to the buyer. Non-mystery items are typically exactly what they appear to be
- You may use your item(s) in addition to one of your abilities at night
- You can hold onto your items for as long as you want. However, if someone KOs you while you're holding one, they will take your item. If you're lynched while holding one, it's gone forever
- Use ##Claim: [Item] and ##Unclaim [Item]
- If you change your mind, you may unclaim an item and go back to lynching
- The items denoted with "[Mystery]" mean there's an item inside that will only be revealed to whoever claims it. These could contain something powerful, useless, or even harmful. Buyer beware!
ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE:
- If a player doesn't cast a lynch vote (including a No Lynch or vote for an item), they will receive 10% damage at the end of the day.
ORDER OF OPERATIONS:
Roleblock > KO > everything else
QUESTIONS?
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or ask in a day thread.

Clarifications:
- You're not prohibited from claiming an item on a later day if you already have claimed one. You can claim as many as you want (BUT LIMIT ONE PER DAY OFC)
- An item or No Lynch vote both effectively count as lynch votes. i.e. you won't receive environmental damage from those

To be clear (since it's been brought up): Each item is one-time use unless otherwise indicated
