The year is 2027. It's been 10 years since the Curiosity rover stumbled upon the first signs of a great civilization living just below the surface on the planet Mars. Since that first meeting, a lot of work has gone into finding a way to determine if the Martians are both intelligent and peaceful. It doesn't take long to find out that they possess an intelligence rivaling that of the human race, even to the point of speaking what seems like a primitive language. The best linguists on Earth have assembled and created a device that they think should allow for direct communication between the Martians and the humans. It's at this point that the Martians send a small convoy of members to visit with earthlings, with the meeting place chosen to be the desert outside of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Just after the Martian Ambassador expresses his statement that they come in peace, a lone dove is released, which startles the Martian Ambassador, who fires a single shot into the bird, burning it to a crisp instantly. It's at this point, the fate of human kind and Martian kind come to a crossroads: Are they really here for peace, or do they have sinister intentions? Only time will tell...

Once a person is lynched, they are removed from the list of people eligible for participation in the duel. So, if you guys nominate the same person that gets lynched, I'll just go to the next highest nomination total.
