GENERAL RULES

- Don't edit your posts

- No direct quoting/screenshotting anything from the hosts. Paraphrasing is fine

- In the event of a tie in the lynch, it will go into sudden death (first vote/unvote on one of the tied people ends it)

- No discussing the game outside the day threads unless your role states otherwise

- Don't post or like posts after you're dead plz

- You must use ## to cast a lynch vote. For example: ##lynch Boc

- You must unlynch before you can lynch someone else
EXAMPLE:
##lynch Boc
##unlynch Boc
##lynch Not-Boc

GAMEPLAY

General mafia rules for the new people:
- The game consists of two phases, day and night. Each will last about 24 hours in real time. During the day, everyone has a chance to discuss with each other, as well as cast lynch votes for those they find the most suspicious. During the night, everyone has a chance to submit actions in secret, the results of which (i.e. who died) will be revealed when the next day begins

- "Plurality" means whoever has the most amount of votes at the end of the day will get lynched, no matter how many that is. HOWEVER, if someone achives majority before then, the day immediately ends and that person is lynched

- Order of operations: Roleblocks > Kills > Everything else

Rules specific to this game:
- Unlike a regular mafia game, this game will have a health system. When your health hits 0, you die.

- Every character starts with the same amount of HP that they have in the real game

- Other than that, while every character is modeled off of the real game, obviously some liberties have been taken with all of them to some extent. i.e. don't expect the wiki to be an all-encompassing reference

- You may only use ONE of your abilities per day/night. You may also choose to not use one at all, but as a result you will not gain any ult points

- This game has an "Ult" system. In Overwatch, this is a powerful, sometimes game-changing ability that you unlock after a certain amount of time (that time is sped up based on how well you're doing). That's much the same here. How the system works:

-- Need 100 "ult points" to unlock an Ult.
-- Each player receives 5 free points per night survived.
-- Each player receives 10 points for casting a lynch vote. (If canceled and you don't revote, you do not receive this). On top of this, if you're on a lynch train that achieves majority, you will receive either a bonus or a penalty:
--- Receive 5 bonus points if you're on a successful lynch train for an enemy faction.
--- Receive -5 penalty points if you're on a successful lynch train that is for one of your faction.
-- Some characters may have unique ways to charge their Ult with their active abilities.

- When a character triggers an Ult, everyone in the game will be notified. This will mention the character that triggered the Ult, not the player.
Example:
- Boc is playing as Reaper and triggers his Ult
- REAPER HAS TRIGGERED HIS ULT will be posted in the current day thread if this was triggered during the day. If it was at night, this will be posted at the beginning of the next day.

- The current status of your HP and Ult charge will be PM'd to you after every day/night phase.

- Unlike the game, anything placed on the "map" by a player will immediately expire after that player dies

- If you have any questions about something that's unclear or wasn't covered here, just ask!

Are we allowed to claim/hint at our role/character?

yes. Characters are random as far as what faction they're in (i.e. an 'evil' game character isn't necessarily mafia and vice versa), so that's fair game

Just to clear up this FAQ:

The amount of Ult points listed next to a regular ability in your role is how many you GAIN for using that ability, not how many are spent. You can't lose Ult points

PSA:

Voting for a no lynch effectively counts the same as not voting at all. You won't gain Ult points for it

Addendum:

From this point forward, overtime periods will last a maximum of 2 hours. If the tie isn't broken by then, the day will end in a no lynch
