Wikey noticed something sticking out of Angi's pocket.

"What's this?" he asked, pulling out a folded piece of paper.

"Looks like a note?" Rose commented.

"Yeah. It is."

He read it out loud.

"Sorry to put you all through this.
I was just curious and wanted to have a bit of fun, really.
So I gathered a collection of people like you, both good and evil, from different universes, and timelines, and mashed you all together in what turned out to be an epic battle of survival.
The two of you have outlasted all the rest---"

Wikey stopped reading.

"Two of you?" he repeated.

The others seemed just as puzzled.

"But there's three of us." Eben said.

The note in Wikey's hand suddenly caught fire, which spread to his hand and Wikey was quickly engulfed in flames.

Wikey has died.

Another portal opened, and a man walked through. "Hi," he said. "Sorry about the confusion. There were supposed to be only two of you left when that note was read. I had to fix that pronto." "Great," said Eben. "Can the two of us go home now?" The man continued to speak. "Well, not quite yet. There was more to the note, but since that's destroyed, I thought I'd finish it in person. I'm Joss by the way." "Hi," Rose said. "You look familiar." "Well," he said. "We've never actually met, though I know you all very well." "Yeah?" Eben said. "How's that?" "You exist, but only in imaginations. I'm familiar with all you, because you're all characters in stories, that I've written for. I thought it'd be cool to throw you all together and see who came out on top. Speaking of which, there's one last bit of business we need to get to." He cleared his throat. "But first," he said. I told Christian i never wanted to use my role because if i died, no one would figure it out. So i waited, used it one night, and died.

I wasn't sure I trusted Redster, so I hid behind Rose. I figured if i flushed out Rose, then maybe that would also lead to redster. And if he was right about rose, the chances of her being targeted were slim.

But alas, no one even tried to figure out my death.

Oh well.

Part of me had forgotten he claimed bp, part didn't trust him (he's the first person since i've been playing here to survive an attack and be town) and part of me wanted to figure out more stuff.

My reads over here have been terrible, so me living wasn't a biggie if i could find scum also.

I think he did. I noticed one of his last posts on the day before he died he said

"the answer to tomorrow's question is rose" or something like that. I thought that might have meant he tried to hide behind her.

Well, we thought Redster was some kind of back-up cop that got a result on Rose N2 so we thought you were the only one left who could be Tracker. That was lucky for us in the long run.
