Above is a list of 16 video games released in 2010, compiled from numerous "best of" lists for that year. Vote for all the ones you've played. Did you enjoy them? Hate them? Still never quite finished them? How would you rank them? Still itching to try out the ones you didn't vote for?
Some honorable mentions:
God of War III
Metroid: Other M
Gran Turismo 5
Limbo
Splinter Cell: Conviction
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty |

I just gotta say I love Limbo. A really great indie game.
I also really liked Heavy Rain with the choices and permadeath. JaYsunn
Mario Galaxy 2 was good but I think I liked the first one better. | |

This is a pretty STACKED year.
Played...
Red Dead Redemption - Fucking amazing. Everything from the story, characters, world, missions, side quests, all of it was fantastic. The multiplayer was probably some the most fun I've had in an online game and still even holds up today five years later.
Mass Effect 2 - Very, very great. I still regret never playing the first and spoiling myself on the third due to the negative reviews. I never played another Mass Effect game, which is mind boggling because this was one of my favorite games.
Fallout: New Vegas - I prefer this to Fallout 3. This is probably the only game I can think of that I bought for two different systems. There's a lot of replay value due to the way the factions are set up and there's a certain sense of satisfaction in blowing people away in this game.
Alan Wake - I forgot to vote this (: Fun little game. Atmosphere and story are both great.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood - Probably the best Assassin's Creed game, both with story and gameplay. Unfortunately it's all downhill from here.
Civilization V - I definitely clocked more hours on IV but this was still good.
Fable III - Came in a bundle with my 360, thus was the first 360 game I ever played. It was okay.
Dead Rising 2 - Got this during a Free w/ Gold promotion. I played for a decent amount of time and got kinda far into it, then died by falling like 5 feet off some stairs. Realized I never saved and got kicked back to the opening intro scene. I promptly rage quit and never played it again. I may revisit it one day, it seemed fun. Although I already know the story as I watched a Youtube LP of it around when it first came out.
Want to...
Mafia II has always been on my list to try. The original is a really great game that was so ahead of it's time when it was released. Never played a BioShock game but want to start from the first because of reasons if I ever do. I fucked around with Just Cause 2 on demo and thought it was pretty fun, but never played the full game.
On another note, Heavy Rain was amazing but I never played it. This girl that I was subbed to on YouTube streamed it on livestream years ago and so I know pretty much everything that happens. Great story though. |

Red Dead Redemption
Heavy Rain
Mass Effect 2
Fallout: New Vegas
I've owned all four for PS3, but no longer have 2 of them.
Red Dead Redemption was fun, but got repetitive really fast...still was fun to ride a horse.
Heavy Rain is awesome. If you've never played it, you need to. 4 playable characters that can die at various points in the story, and the game will continue on without them.
Mass Effect 2 was really fun and I'm glad I played it for the first time last year, or earlier this year. I don't remember, but I posted about it.
And New Vegas is one of my favourite games, even though I like Fallout 3 better. | |

Only one I beat was Brotherhood, best AC game next to ACII.
Never beat Heavy Rain, but I can always pick it up again.
Barely played Galaxy 2. | |

Red Dead Redemption - GR8! Had a ton of fun with it. And it had a waaay better story than the GTA games
Heavy Rain - lol I played like the first few minutes late one night and I couldn't figure out what to do next so I stopped playing and never ended up picking it back up. I do wanna get back to it at some point tho
Super Mario Galaxy 2 - So good. My favorite Mario game I've played
Fallout: New Vegas - I usually don't play many RPGs, and had never played a Fallout game before, but I loved every bit of it. All of the moral dilemmas and shifting allegiances were fun, and the sidequests were pretty much all really compelling. Not to mention that MUSIC | |

ME2 was the best game I have ever played. Loved it. I liked the 3rd one too. The ending did suck, but game was still good. |

Only played 4. I'm lame.
AC Brotherhood - Already talked about my love of this game. Best AC game, period.
New Vegas - Bought this and played a minute then got distracted with some other stuff. I loved Fallout 3 so I'm not sure why I never made it back to play through this game, I know I would love it.
Halo Reach - A decent game to play through, but this was the beginning of the downslide for halo games.
Bioshock 2 - I know I played this game but I don't think I ever finished it. Not sure why. I am having trouble remembering much about it. I loved the first bioshock, so this one might have been a let down or something. Honestly can't remember. I should load it up and find out.
-----------------
Limbo should be on the list. Loved that game. It was super short but very enjoyable. | |

Mass Effect 2 - Best of the series. Loved it when I played it.
Fallout: New Vegas - Very good. Loved both new-ish fallout games.
Alan Wake - Amazing. Really good story and keeps you playing. Never got boring or repetitive, even if gameplay options are pretty limited.
Call of Duty: Black Ops - MEH. Just what you expect from a COD game, not close to modern warefare.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood - The series has been in a decline since 2. Remember being disappointed but still finished it. Probably the last AC game I bothered finishing.
Civilization V - Ive only played the vanilla version, which I did enjoy for some time but it gets very repetitive after a few games. Probably need the expansion packs to continue enjoying it.
Just Cause 2 - Brilliant. Still havnt finished it but I have a save where I am at around 70%. But seems more like work trying to complete than actual fun. I also read somewhere that its close to impossible to get 100% because of a lot stuff not being on the map which doesnt really inspire me to try to get 100%
Mafia II - Didnt leave anything behind. I remember installing it again on Steam like a year ago since I didnt think I had played it but then when I started playing it all seemed pretty familiar and things started coming back to me. So I guess it cant have been that good? :)
BioShock 2 - Worst in the series. Didnt even finish it.
Ill probably play Heavy Rain at some point. Maybe Halo | |
