That was p. intense. If only Jon could have gotten to that handful of dragon glass daggers that sprawling zombie army wouldn't have stood a chance!

Ohhhh sheeeeit what a battle. I was worried Edd was fucked and was REALLY worried Tormund was fucked. I liked the new girl, especially her "I fucking hate Thenn's" line. rip
The whole battle/end was good, it reminded me of the battle of castle black episode mostly because of who was involved, but it had some cool direction like that episode did too
The last third outshined the rest of the episode tbh, I can barely recall what happened during then. The Arya stuff was fine, Cersei stuff was fine. Reek's admission about Bran/Rickon was really good

Wun Wun stole the episode. What a BADASS!
Having the fight take up half the episode was a cool choice. Definitely one of the best parts of this season. Only problem I had with it is I still think the Night's King's look is cheesy but meh. I also still don't get why they make some of the wights be skeletons, they're way more threatening/creepy as blue-eyed 'humans' and I don't remember skeletons ever being a thing in the books
Also I half-expected the episode to end with "dead things in the water" popping up

1. Damn straight.
2. Cotter's "dead things in the woods, dead things in the water" report is one of my favorite little things from ADWD. It was so matter of fact and chilling. Like the ending of Quentyn's last chapter in ADWD, it just stuck with me.

My only complaint about the episode is that I wish it could have been longer.

yeah that scene stuck out to me the most outside of the Hardhome battle. I think that was Sansa's best performed scene yet. And I really liked that shot of Sansa/Reek's silhouetted faces

Why do they take out all of these little classic lines you guys like so much? It seems like every episode you guys are waiting for a classic line and it never comes or it's changed for the worst. That would PISS ME OFF!!!

well to be fair the Hardhome plot was completely different on the show anyway. Jon never goes there and we never see anything firsthand except for the cryptic "dead things" report that comes back. All things considered I like the show's version much better, especially for the fact that we finally got to see the white walkers' army in action after all this time
I think the funniest change this episode was changing Arya's assumed identity from "Cat of the Canals" to "Lana of the Canals". After all the book readers got upset about changing "Only Cat" to "Your sister" they went and got rid of another 'Cat'. I have no idea why they chose to do it this time but it's kinda funny

I wasn't too sure about this season a couple of episodes ago, but this one and the last have eased my doubts.
Dorne is very meh, but I find I don't give a shit about that when we get awesome scenes such as Dany meeting Tyrion, or the amazing final sequence with the White Walkers. That shit was tense.

I also liked that they toned down on the power rangers aesthetic with the nights king. Maybe he does still look a bit cheesy, but he looked way worse the time before.
