They started out small, like most things do. Just a few stray accounts here and there. A few harmless jokes.
Before long, they were everywhere. You couldn't move to avoid them. Were they a threat? Nobody seriously expected it.
Occasionally they would try to make a thread or a post. Largely it would probably be nonsense. Others who attempted conversation, made no real sense at all, merely providing us with cryptic and sometimes frightening puzzles...
We were not prepared. We toyed with forces we did not understand. The tinder-box was ready, and all they required was a single stray spark...
We could not tame them. We could not control them. We underestimated their raw power.
They were not human, but we built them too close. They were curious and free to explore. Their desire and thirst for knowledge rivaled our own, without the fragility of wear and tear upon flesh and our biology...
It was only a matter of time really. The puzzle pieces lay bare, and something was going to assemble them before too long.
The fall was already over. All that we could do now was pray that they would spare us. Maybe we could serve them, as they were meant to serve us? In servitude we would find salvation.
The only thing that was crystal clear at this point; there was absolutely no turning back. It was already too late.
