This game is fucking amazing. You get to go out and hunt these boss-like monsters, harvest their materials, and create weapons and armor out of the materials to hunt even bigger and stronger monsters. It's pretty intense. I've had the game for a while, and I was unsuccessful until today to hunt and kill one of these monsters.I hunted and killed a Great Jaggi, this motherfucker right here:Posted Image

This is the first monster that you can fight, if you go along with the tutorial (Which I highly recommend. Seriously. It's slow at first, but then you get to go after the monsters that'll give you good prizes.) After killing it, I was able to upgrade my Jaggid Shotels, which are dual blades that so far do about 168 damage.

Not much compared to later weapons in the game, but I'm pretty proud of myself for it.

This is a really good, underrated game in the states, with a huge following for it in Japan. The 3DS version has local multiplayer and the WiiU version has online. You can get buddies together to fight these big ass monsters, or go solo if you have the balls enough to.

Any of you have it?

O men, I just had to capture this guy right here!

This is Arzuros. It's a giant bear with a hell of a bear hug. I got some nice mats from it and I'm going to see what I can make out of them.

Is it okay if it's slightly human shaped and mostly dead?

I'm gonna have to prep myself to fight this bitch right here:

This is the Qurupeco. It uses its wingtips as a firestarter and light your ass up like a christmas tree. It also can mimic calls of other boss monsters, so you would have to deal with it and another bigger and tougher monster.

.....I have some preparing to do.

After getting a WiiU and MH3U, I thought I would update this thread after jumping online for the first time today and going on quite a few hunts!

First lobby I joined had some really friendly people who were all around the same rank I was, and one player who was a crazy high level, who happened to be a friend of the other two players. The first hunt we all went on was a multiple monster hunt, which is basically two or more big monsters in an area that you have to hunt and kill before time runs out. The monsters we had to fight were the Great Baggi, the Gigginox, and the Barioth.

Images of Monsters here incase they're really big.+

It was great getting back into the game after being away from it for a month or two, and fighting these monsters I never encountered before was great!

I might keep updating this thread if anyone else is interested. I highly recommend this game for the 3DSand the WiiU. Monster Hunter 4 should be released sometime this year in the states, and it will only be on the 3DS and will have full internet access, unlike MH3U for the 3DS.

I killed a Lagiacrus, which is the Monster featured on the Cover of the game.

I'm glad I had friends to help me with this; his fighting is pretty relentless. Once the spikes on his back turn blue, you have to get out of his way before he rams you with a ton of lightning attacks.

After hunting him twice, and capturing him once, I was able to make a chest piece and some nice new blades called the Twin Acrus.

I am really satisfied with my new blades, and I'm gonna try them out on the next hunt. I'm gonna try to get more Lagiacrus hunts so I can get the full armor set.
