It's been FOUR YEARS since I stopped watching this! Crazy how long ago that was. I blew through seasons one and two but then stopped for no particular reason a few episodes into season three. Decided that now's the time to pick it back up and hopefully breeze through it

We have no Wire topic so I'll just make my own. I'll post my terribly useless thoughts on each episode as I'm watching them. I remember seasons one and two well enough so I'm starting with 3x01. I've already seen this one and remember a good chunk of it so I won't have as much to say about it tho. I think episode three will be my first new episode.

- I love Poot's line during the meeting so much. "Does the chair know we gonna look like some punk ass bitches out there?" - It's weird seeing Littlefinger in this - I love whenever Avon is on screen so much. Easily the best character IMO - I hate Burrell. And I loved Carcetti calling the media and making him look like a fool - POOR CEDRIC! Having to pretend to be in a happy marriage still just for show - "The fuck did I do?" I forgot how much I loved that line - A photo of poor dead Wallance :((( . OH NO AND A PICTURE OF D! :(((((( . The memories - Two of the few characters/storylines that I'm not spoiled on are Cutty and Marlo. I don't know much about either. Makes me more interested to see how their stories play out

lol actually, I think I know why I stopped watching in the first place now that I look back at the thread on EN. I think I stopped this to start BREAKING BAD

I think of him as Littlefinger, Cutty as Tyreese from TWD, and Bunny as his character from Prison Break. It's weird seeing them all as vastly different characters here

I'm in a similar situation with this show, only I breezed through season 3 as well. I might've seen the first episode of season 4 as well, although I'm not sure how far I got. I'll definitely pick it up again sometimes soon, and I only breezed through the first 3 seasons a year ago so they're still fresh in my mind.

After 4 years of hearing nothing but stellar reviews, high praise, and constant recommendations for this show, I still have not started watching it.

Yeah that was good. I like Bunny a lot. I really liked how DISAPPOINTED he seemed in that young/slow drug dealer for approaching him in the premiere

I assume a good chunk of this season is devoted to different views on this PAPER BAG approach? It'll be cool to see what stance the police/politicians and especially dealers take on it

Season 3 and 4 are the fucking best seasons. Why did you guys stop? Jesus. -.-

I knew there were a few actors here who are the IRL counterparts of some characters, so I'm not surprised that he's one of them because his delivery is cringeworthy (:
