The game started in a very heated way! All 20 players really came out to show what they were made of and the battle for the first ever, FE Endurance Champions was under way!
The game started with 20 people but in the Right to Stay Mission, 5 people were about to get eliminated. Curtis, Natalie, Johnny, DD, and Chris ended up being those 5 people. Buffy didn't want Jake to miss out and ended up giving her position in the game over to DD. When they got to the Elimination Hut, they were told they had a second chance at the game. One of them would win a mission to choose which of the 5 would be eliminated for good and would get to decide who they wanted for a partner, automatically partnering up the other two to return to the game. Chris destroyed the mission and picked Buffy as his partner leaving Curtis and Natalie to be paired. The mission was playing Candy and Clyde and out of this challenge, the Candy and Clyde alliance between Buffy and Curtis was created and the two outcast teams vowed to be the final 2 teams remaining.
Once the other teams were decided, they were told that those people would be coming back! The official teams of FE Endurance: Season 1 were:
Blue Team: Curtis & Natalie
Black Team: Buffy & Chris
Brown Team: Hot Cocoa & Vernon
Gray Team: Dylan & Vic
Green Team: Boc & Patrick
Orange Team: Nofo & Rose
Pink Team: Animal & DD
Purple Team: Greenday & Rob
Red Team: Jeff & Matt (who weren't robbed so don't say it)
Yellow Team: Angi & KC
Round 1:
The teams then set off to claim Endurance Champions! Some teams bonded early while others had an automatic rivalry. The Blue Team made quick work after returning to the game of just getting in with people. A bond between Blue and Brown was solidified and they decided they would work to be the top 4 in the game. Pink and Gray created a strong bond very fast and quickly roped in the Red and Purple teams in order to move forward. Rose from the Orange really contemplated how she wanted to play this game and who she wanted to play it with. She felt very tor between playing with the same people or spreading out her game. Dylan from Gray was dead set on sending the two outcast teams right back where they came from and he quickly started playing up the villain while his partner, Vic, just tried to be friendly and not ruffle feathers. Dylan also didn't like the results of the partner mission since he wanted to be with DD, but he decided to let it go and work with them. KC on the other hand was very pissed off that Patrick took his partner, Boc, away from him and began smiting him instantly while vowing to take him down.
The very first mission was found to be a Temple Mission and the winners would get to send two teams to the Temple of Fate to face off where only one team would come back. This mission involved a lot of teamwork and speed. But instead of one winner, this mission would have two! The two winners were Pink Team and Gray Team by large margins. Pink sent up Orange and Green while Gray sent up Brown and Yellow. Rose felt completely betrayed by DD since they were initially supposed to be partners. There was a distance between the two partners on the Gray Team and their take on the game, but that didn't keep them from working well together and trying to win.
When sent to the Temple, the Yellow and Brown Team bonded in knowing one would be leaving and the other would need to go back into the game and face the large alliance they all knew existed. Yellow Team were the first casualties of the game and Brown vowed they would avenge them. Orange and Green did not want to face off at all, but one had to move on. Unfortunately, Orange was the second team walking out of the game with no shot at getting vengeance.
Round 2:
In this round the teams competed in their first Endurance Mission where the winners would win a piece and the Samadhi to give to any other team. The Samadhi is a disadvantage for the upcoming Temple Mission where the team that receives it would be handicapped making it harder for them to win. The first Samadhi was won by the Red Team and they gave it to the Green Team. Green was not happy and didn't really understand the choice, but they took it and they were handicapped.
In the next Temple Mission, one teammate would be in a boat and would paddle out into the ocean as far as they could in a certain time limit. Once that portion was done, the remaining teammates would try to pull any other team in as fast as possible. The last tea with their teammate out in the ocean would win the Temple Mission and the task of choosing two teams to go up to the Temple of Fate. The Brown Team was victorious by a large margin in this one. After winning, they chose to take vengeance on the Gray Team by sending them up but a heated battle between Vernon and the Purple Team made Vernon send up Purple over any other team.
The Purple and Gray Teams made their way up to the Temple of Fate where Purple Team lost and was sent home.
Round 3:
The Teams woke up the next day to read the letter Purple had left behind and to see which team they had given their piece to. They chose to give their piece to the Gray Team which put them tied for first with the Red Team who had won a piece at the Endurance Mission.
Teams competed in the next Endurance Mission where they had to dodge tangerines! Hot Cocoa destroyed the challenge for the Brown Team giving them another piece to tie them for first and the option to give the Samadhi to any team they pleased. They chose to give it to the Gray Team where they would be handicapped in the next Temple Mission.
In the Temple Mission, teams would compete in puzzles. There were two puzzles and the team that completed them the fastest would win the Temple Mission and be tasked with the two teams being sent to the Temple. Pink Team won and sent Green and Blue in order to try to split up the Admins after some animosity from the previous Temple Mission.
At the Temple, Green won the first round, but Blue Team came back and won two in a row sending Boc and Patrick home.
Round 4:
After Green left, they left behind a letter and their Luck piece. They chose to leave everyone with a parting Irish song and they left their only piece to the Brown Team giving Brown the lead with 3 total pieces.
Teams found out that instead of playing for the Samadhi and a piece today, they would be playing for the power to choose Super Teams for the upcoming Temple Mission. Super Teams are two teams made up of 3 individual teams each. This mission involved teamwork and then doing a slider puzzle. Pink Team won their second mission in a row and decided to pick the Pink Team, Gray Team, and Black Team on one side and Red Team, Blue Team, and Brown Team on the other side. Their plan was for if they won to overrun Black's preference and save the Red Team.
When competing in the Super Team Temple Mission, the Super Team of Pink, Gray, and Black proved their strength by winning the Temple Mission (even though the other team couldn't compete) and Chris decided to post and send the Red and Brown Team up to the Temple of Fate. At the time everything was fine, but once he told the Pink Team what he did in posting without consent, their became a huge riot over it. After a lot of headaches, yelling, and deliberation, the Super Team got together and overturned the Black Team to send the Blue and Brown Teams up to the Temple of Fate to face off against each other.
Up at the Temple, the new Luck Piece obtained from the Green Team didn't seem to prevail for the Brown Team and they were sent packing. Blue vowed they would make everyone in the game pay and a huge rivalry ensued between the Blue Team and the Pink Team.
Round 5:
The Brown Team left behind a letter with a lot of thoughts and finally, they decided to leave their 3 pieces to the Blue Team giving Blue a jump from last place to first with 4 pieces which was 2 more pieces than anyone else in the game had. They felt that might make them a target, but they were already a target so might as well have them.
Heading into the Endurance Mission, Blue Team was determined to start winning some missions and give some payback where it was due. When getting to the mission, it was another karma challenge and up for grabs was the Karma piece and the Samadhi. With the help of Gray and Black, Blue was able to prevail and win. They ended up giving the Samadhi to Pink unsurprisingly and when opened, the Samadhi meant the Pink Team had to sit out from the next Temple Mission with no shot of winning it. Pink took it well and reluctantly sat out of the next mission.
With Pink Team sitting out, Blue felt their chances were good in this next mission and felt decently comfortable. Black Team did not like the way the last mission was handled, Buffy in particular, and swore that if they won a Temple Mission, they would be sending Blue to the Temple! Unbeknownst to Blue, their closest allies in the game at this point would be willing to send them in a heartbeat. Black Team really felt they needed to win the next mission and prove their worth. The Temple Mission was a flash game based on speed and Black ended up coming out on top in a big way for their team. Luckily for Blue and Natalie's paranoia with her karma, Curtis' admin abilities on FE allowed him to see Buffy was smiting Natalie and he confronted Buffy about it. They hashed out the issues and at the Temple selection, Black chose to send Gray and Red, sparing Pink even against Blue's wishes. They felt Gray would send them for sure and they did not want Red to just be dragged to the end over them.
At the Temple, the Gray Team took leadership and won against the Red Team sending them home in 5th place.
Round 6:
The Red Team left with their two pieces and left behind a note. The teams back on the beach read to find they had given both of their pieces to the Pink Team. Most teams weren't shocked, but Gray was pretty upset and becoming restless that no one was giving them their pieces. Dylan thought out that Black had to leave next, they would give their pieces to Blue, and then whichever team left at 3 would give their pieces to them and they would take a good lead.
In the Endurance Mission, it was luck based. Players were supposed to step onto a platform where one of them would randomly sink. Whoever was standing on that platform would go down with it and be out of the mission. Last team or person standing would win it for their team. Pink ended up getting rather lucky and were 2 of the last 3 remaining. In the end, they outlasted Curtis and won the Endurance Mission where, unsurprisingly, they gave the Samadhi to Blue Team to handicap them in the next mission.
In the Temple Mission, the teams were tasked to play Battleship of sorts and each team had 2 coordinates except Blue because of the Samadhi. As the teams went on, it was a long stalemate of no one hitting any coordinates for a while. Finally coordinates were getting hit and eventually Black was sunk. It came down to everyone having one coordinate but then Blue was hit and knocked out leaving Gray and Pink to the end. Gray made the last hit and ended up winning the mission putting them in the final 3. Their decision was not hard for them and they sent the Black and Blue teams up to the Temple to finally send one of the outcast teams home.
Black and Blue went up and they deliberated and Black realized they made a mistake in their choices last round and wished they would have sent Pink instead. Blue lost the first round but this was not a new position for them. Blue ended up coming back to win the last two rounds and earned their way back into the game coming back for the 3rd time this game!
Round 7:
The Black Team got eliminated the previous night and left a long letter with a lot to say about the three remaining teams. They ended up leaving their one and only Courage piece to the Blue Team extending their lead even farther. The other teams expected that and there were mixed feelings about the team leaving. They said for Blue to bring the game home for them and for Johnny who they loved so dearly!
The Endurance Mission was the final one and it was to play for another piece and the final Samadhi. The mission was a memory mission where the teams were to remember the different happenings in the game and try to answer the questions based off of that. The Blue Team's note taking proved worthy and they won another piece and the final Samadhi to give to either Gray or Pink. They had obtained a relatively large lead, but at this point, all that mattered to Blue was pieces and winning the final missions. They decided their best hope of winning the final Temple Mission was to give the Samadhi to Pink and that's what they did. If anything, they wanted Pink to go to Temple once before the game ended.
In the Temple Mission, it was a series of different tasks. First one partner had to dig in the sand to find a key and unlock their partner where there was a scrambled word. Once they got their partner they had to swim and get bags of pieces. Once they got their pieces they had to put together a special kind of puzzle. One team proved to show teamwork once again as the Gray Team put their heads together and came out on top automatically sending Pink to Temple for the first time and sending Blue for the 4th time while in the game.
Things were looking bleak with Blue going for a fourth time and they were not sure they could come back once again and knock Pink out. The first round was won by Pink and at this point Blue was pretty low in moral. But Blue came back and won a round after tying twice in a row. At this point Pink started freaking out and both teams sent in their final elements. Blue ended up winning another round and winning their 4th Temple in the game sending, what seemed like the undefeatable Pink Team, home in 3rd place.
Round 8:
After Pink left, both teams felt like they might have a shot. But they found out Pink would not be giving their pieces away but they would be playing for the final piece and all of Pink's 4 pieces in the next mission.
Blue and Gray competed by running from boat to boat above the water collecting the pieces. At the end of the mission, Gray had collected 3 pieces while Blue collected 2. This put Gray more on the board, but it was a large gap as Blue had 9 pieces while Gray had 5 in total. Things were looking bleak while going into the Final Temple, but with luck involved, anything could really happen.
While up at the Temple, teams were told it would work that there are a number of gray pyramids and under one of them a gold pyramid is hidden. The team with the lower amount of pieces would place as many places across the board as they would like in order to try and knock the odds of them finding the gold pyramid in their favor. The team that finds the gold pyramid will collect all the pieces on the board at that time.
The Gray Team started by covering 2 of the 3 pyramids and ended up winning that round. Another gray pyramid was added. Gray still had less pieces and decided to cover 3 pyramids while Blue filled in the remaining slot. In this round it came down to one Blue piece and one Gray piece. But the golden pyramid was uncovered and it was Blue's piece that was on it. Blue took Gray's 3 pieces leaving them 3 pieces to try and win off of. Another pyramid was added and Gray decided to lay their last 3 pieces down and try to win back big. They figured if they kept doing 1 or 2 their chances were smaller. They covered half of the board and Blue filled in the rest. Either Blue would win this and become Endurance Champs, or Gray would win and get themselves back in the game and a shot at winning. Pieces were uncovered one by one and it came down to just one Blue piece and one Gray piece once again. Both teams were very tense and just wanted to know the results. As the last two pieces flipped, it was revealed that the golden pyramid was under the Blue Team's piece and they had just collected all 14 pieces making them Endurance Champs of FE's Season 1!!
They were ecstatic as they had just won a trip together, with me, to go to Space Camp and enjoy the 0 gravity rooms and the chance to pretend they are astronauts!
Congrats to you two!!!
