I got this a couple months ago but just began playing now and woah, it really is fun! There's a lot of freedom because all of the items are available from the start, which means you don't have to act in any linear order to complete the dungeons. The use of LTTP's world map gets me all :D because I still remember it so well. Anybody play it?

I need to play more Zelda games pretty badly. This one's just for 3DS right?

Download an emulator and try out Link to the Past.

I've only played through Wind Waker and one of the Super Nintendo ones. Pretty sure it was Link to the Past. I remember it being incredibly difficult but a ton of fun

I actually just beat this. A lot of fun. Rupees come at you pretty quick if you go ahead and buy items instead of renting. I just hit the 9999 rupee ceiling but theres hardly anything to buy.

it's EARLY DAYS yet so I'm not at the point where I can buy anything I don't think. Also I have no intention of using the goggles, do those factor in?

I beat this a few months back and really enjoyed it.

Never have to use the goggles if you don't want to. I never did.

There's one dungeon you have to beat in order to access another one because they hold one item back, but other than that it's wide open.

The goggles are useless when you actually need a hint the ghosts are usually unhelpful or give obvious hints.

I actually started this back up a few days ago. I've done the Desert place, the Thief place, the Ice place, and the Woods place. The only time I've had trouble so far was the boss for the desert place who kicked my ass repeatedly.

It's pretty fun so far but more of the same when it comes to Zelda. It doesn't help that A Link to the Past was never one of my favorite Zelda games in the first place.

i think the painting mechanic (and non-linearity) was a major factor in changing it around somewhat. it still is a near-remake of one of the most iconic games in the series, but it is properly different enough to justify its making.

i really liked it!
