New idea!

I'm gonna revisit POTD topics that we did literally 10 (how) years ago. That was a fairly different roster of people voting in those polls and it could be kinda fun to see if the majority changes and even if our personal answers change. Try not to look back at any old polls to see what you voted, even if it means contradicting yourself if you found yourself in a passionate argument back then

A. The date of your death
B. The cause of your death

Your death cannot be prevented from this knowledge at all.

The date for the definitive knowledge. Hopefully it's more than a week away so I can circle it on a calendar and then do whatever I want between now and then. Sure the anticipation on that final day will be a real bitch, but knowing only the cause would leave me permanently suspended in that anticipation until it came to pass.

It's date by a mile for me. Imagine being told you're gonna die crossing the street someday. Or your roof is gonna collapse on you while you're sleeping. Or a dog will kill you. FUCK THAT!

agree. It's got to be date. It's like being at the start of the weekend but obviously knowing you'll have to go back to work on Monday. You're not looking forward to it but you can (and will) still enjoy your days off.

unless it's like 2 minutes after submitting the answer for a poll like this or something.

I might go with cause bc at least you won't know when it happens.

Cause might just be heart failure or something like brain aneurysm.

I read a book earlier in the year called “they both die in the end” and it was set in a place where you would be called one day and told you will die today but not how. It gave people the chance to live out their last day as they wanted/could say bye to their friends and families and even attend their own funeral if they wanted. I think i’d like that over knowing how I died

yeah date for sure. Either get some bad news and live it up while you can, or get some good news and feel secure in living a long life. Either way no uncertainty

(tho I'd def choose neither if that was an option, which, it's not)

Cause sucks more I think, but I'd probably get so much planning anxiety and start dreading the passage of time even more.

Imagine choosing cause and being informed you are to be killed by a shark. You spend the rest of your life avoiding bodies of water, but the rules state the information can't prevent your death, so the universe has to hurl a shark through your living room window out of a clear blue sky one day
