Shadow kicks off Season 2 of Mysterium by wanting vindication for what happened last time. KC keeps attempting to "talk things out" by making absolutely preposterous stretches.
KC's turn as ghost is disastrously once again as his cards make absolutely zero sense in his quest to get Shadow to guess a "duff" and Brian to guess a courtroom.
It's pretty simple. It's basically a card version of clue.
The ghost (in this latest video, me) is given three cards for each player: A person, a place and a motive (or weapon depending on the version of the game). This is essentially telling everyone a reading of who the killer is, where the murder happened and what the motive was. Those same cards are mixed in with five other random cards in each set and dealt to other players. So everyone playing (in this case; Shadow, Brian and Curtis) all have six unique cards that each differently match one of the cards the ghost has (and in this case, I have 9 cards: 3 people, 3 places and 3 motives). This last video is shot from my perspective so as I'm scrolling through the players, all the cards that have red wax stamps on them are the cards I need to direct the players to.
The ghost cannot speak at all, so I am dealt a bunch of abstract cards. I use these cards to try to point the players in the right direction of the killer, place and motive they have. It can be objects in the cards or color scheme or things that just subtly point to someone or something. For instance, I chose a picture that had a picture of a baton on some steps to represent the cop. Or tried to use food cards to direct to the butter lady (which backfired terribly, especially when confusing flowers for apples)
If the players can guess all three of their cards in the correct amount of time, then one last round is played where I use the rest of my 8 cards to try to point the players in the right direction of choosing the REAL killer, which will be chosen from their sets.
I also have three crows I can use to change my cards at any time to get better ones if I'm stumped, but it's tricky because if you use them all too soon you are stuck with whatever cards you have in the last round potentially, which could make it impossible.
I'm, uh... not very good at this game and this last video is pretty frustrating to watch (: But it's fun to watch from a ghost perspective I think. The Shadow one before is a good place ot start.
Ooooh I was so confused. I watched these and you guys playing it like a year ago and never knew there was a 4th player not talking. I thought shadow was an afk non-participant in the first vid. I had no idea what the hell was going on and it was so frustrating
As Shadow tries to take charge, Brian's very first turn as ghost has potential for disaster as Curtis has trouble figuring out if his clues pertain to the postal worker or the.... chiropractor?
