I do spray them with water every day but never use soap directly. So never I guess?

I prob could get away with actually never washing them tho considering I wear socks pretty much 24/7

I wear work boots most of the time. I wash them every day/every shower otherwise they'd be FONKY

This thread actually reminds me I have a pack of Baby Foot which is this exfoliation foot peel. You wear the booties for an hour, rinse off the stuff and then in the next few days allll the dead skin starts to peel off. I've used it once before and it's amazing. 10/10 recommend
