Happy Pac-12/Big-10/ACC ALLIANCE DAY!

Now, if they'll just make sure that means that Clempson and Ohio State get added to this year's schedule, all of us SEC fanatics would be appreciative!

2 days until the "real" start to the season, though I did enjoy watching Nebraska continue to melt down on national tv last Saturday.

Boise St./UCF and Ohio State/Minn highlight the Thursday slate.

Looking forward to the games. Have decided not to watch any Pac 12 games this year in protest.

Should be a fun season.

After the showing of the Pac-12, minus UCLA, this was a wise decision!

Clemson, Ohio State and Oklahoma all look vulnerable. Unfortunately, the evil Empire at Alabama does not.

It's week 1/2. I'm reserving judgement for a couple weeks.

Big 12 went 9-1 with West Virginia being the only losers in a game they definitely could have won.

Oklahoma State looked bad. We were missing 6-7 people due to contract tracing including our starting QB but I am a little worried.

Kansas State looked good against a bad Stanford team and that ND/FSU game was a lot of fun.

Iowa State was absolutely brutal in their top 10 debut. Iowa looked really good so the game next week is going to be interesting. Must watch.

Big 12 officially invites BYU, UCF, Cincy, and Houston. Should be a decent basketball conference, but football...Cincy might be the best team in the league. Ooof. At least West Virginia can cut down it's travel mileage a little bit (oh wait, now they have to go to Provo too...)

Hope the Big 12 didn't like playing on Sundays.

I look forward to seeing which teams the AAC now grabs from the Sun Belt or maybe even the MAC? Would they consider going west and raiding the MWC?

Oh get outta here with this anti Big 12 narrative! While I would have preferred OSU go elsewhere this is the best case scenario otherwise.

Basketball they are still a top conference. Texas and OU being replaced by Cinci and Houston (fresh off of a final 4 appearance) is almost a wash in terms of recent success.

Football, if you look at recent history I am not sure they are that far behind the Pac12 and even the ACC. Cinci, might be the best team in the big 12, well they would also be the best team in the Pac 12 and also the second best team by far outside of Clemson in the ACC so not sure where the knock is. Now if they get squeeze out of TV money because they don’t have any of the “brands” sure it may separate a bit. But while I think the Big 12 is definitely 5th in the P5 they are still a lot closer to the P5 than outside of it (especially due to sniping the best of the non P5).

Sorry Dyl, but the Big 12 for football is utter trash and no longer power 5.

You watch too much ESPN! The gap between the SEC/Big 10 and ACC/Pac12 is larger than the gap from those two to the Big 12. You better call it the Power 2 then.

And you've got to just stop thinking about conferences just by their top schools. There really isn't much gap between the Big 10 and ACC, when you consider the entirety of the conference, not just OSU/PSU/WISC/MICH vs. CLEM/FSU. Also, the Pac-12 is one of the deeper conferences out there, even though they haven't had the sure-fire top-5 team recently (Oregon was this just a couple of years ago...how quickly people forget).

The Big 12 minus Oklahoma (football only here) was a whole lot closer to the AAC and Sun Belt (from a top-teams perspective) than they were to any of the other P5 leagues. I'm not sure bringing in these four teams, who records are inflated by playing weaker schedules, really pushes them any closer to the top 4.

Cincy would not be a top team in the Pac-12. Get the heck out of here...lol.

Funny thing, I don't watch ESPN. Big 12 football is not good. OU makes the playoffs because they play 0 teams in conference and then get beat behind the woodshed for a reason. They are equivalent to ND but with more talent

That pretty deep Pac 12 is 4-12 against the Big 12 in the last 5 years. Not sure what you are talking about lol.

I mean USC and UCLA look good this year but have I been missing some sort of PAC 12 dominance? I guess I don’t stay up that late.
