It finally released over night. Looking forward to this since it's been 2 years since a new Marvel movie was released. |

didn't care enough to get a theater trip going for this one so just watched it off of HodaPlex. Def the right call I think, very typical middle-of-the-road Marvel movie. Think it would've come off better if this wasn't the first one in two years, felt very underwhelming as supposedly the start of the next saga of the MCU (like this was basically in Iron Man 1's spot? And obviously doesn't come close to that)
Action was below-average, plot was kinda muddled, villain was okay (above average by default for Marvel tho), Pugh was pretty good (probably the best part) save for the accent, and some of the pathos was actually decent but then would immediately be undercut by 10 forced Marvel quips
Meh!

I think the end credits scene was the most disappointing part tbh. Like again, if you compare this to Iron Man 1's spot as the start of the first MCU saga, this should've been something HUGE and exciting like that teaser was. Instead it was a...lead-in to the Hawkeye TV show...cool |

17/23. Feels harsh but this did feel the weakest out of that 5/10 tier

Oh it's already up on Plex? Thanks Hoda! Didn't want to go to theatres, though we still can't lol. Will give my thots after.

Plot: didn’t care
Scarjo: average
Flo: great as always
Harbour: great as always
Weisz: good
Villains: meh
Action: nothing interesting
Humor: bad
Best parts were Pugh and Harbour as expected. Worst MCU trash moment was when Natasha and Yelena fought. Marvel just loves their forced hero on hero fight scenes! I bitch about it every movie and it always gets worse. Like these two were about to GUT each other with a kitchen knife if the other hadn’t blocked it, and then they just call for a truce and share some good ole Russian Vodka! Bad
5/10
I’d love Florence in future MCU movies. Especially if they conveniently drop her accent like they did with Scarlet Witch
Valentina is like a grey (or just bad) Fury it seems. Recruiting Walker and now Yelena. Could be fun

I enjoyed this flick. It was a send-off for black widow and for Scarlett Johanson so I appreciated it for that. She definitely deserved a solo flick. Would have like a Hawkeye and black widow movie but doubt that will ever happen.
I agree with some of the above posts to an extent. Lots of forced stuff and the villians were pretty pointless for the most part. |

I just echo everyone else ever and wish her movie came back during phase one. I wish all six got a solo movie before The Avengers and those seven movies made up phase one

It just felt like it COULD have been better. Like the elements were there, actors i like, plenty of excuses for good action scenes, just seemed like some of them just went through the motions.
Agree with Curtis that hero on hero scene was the most forced ever.
Movie was very uneven. Like they couldn't balance the action and emotional stuff very well.
I still enjoyed it though. I like most of these actors/actresses and it was def worth a watch. I just wish it was a little bit better, esp as a sendoff for Widow. | Rodney is a great guy. Oops, nevermind he's a terrible human being.
He likes his sandwiches to be Turkey and Swiss. Triangle cut. Let vern have his crust. Poison the part Rodney eats.

I agree Curtis about the kitchen fight scene. So pointless.
Favorite part of the film was Yelena. Easily the best character.
Enjoyed the film overall it got better as it went on.
Best scene was the nirvana cover with that montage of trafficked girls. So powerful

Watched this a couple of days ago.
It was pretty decent. Like above average. I finally decided to catch up on all of the MCU stuff I haven't seen yet.

I liked the Incredible Hulk more than this so you're probably right.
