King Furton Entain is bored! King FE has acres upon acres at his disposal. His favorite kind of entertinment is fighting, so hes inviting anyone and everyone to take part in a fight to the death!

The winner will get gold beyond their dreams, fame from the country, and a new mansion that Kiing FE will give up to them.

So who exactly is going to participate? Lets find out!

Creating Your Character!

So here are 2 really good resources to research the kind of character you want. The MORE important thing, is going to be your class, so here are some places to look:

Now, both of these resources are full DnD rules, so basically any class you pick will be altered to some degree to fit MY condensed rules. If anyone has questions how a specific ability might run or what have you, pleaseee ask!

but first!

RACE

The ONLY thing Race will effect is your walking speed. I won't go into EACH race in hero forge, but the smaller races will have a 25 foot walking speed, and everyone else will have a 30 foot walking speed. It shouldnt effect things TOO much so ya thats it really!

CLASS

This is where the big stuff comes in. From the resources above pick a class! Within each class there are usually sub classes, which can get confusing. If you're newer I recommend just picking one Class and reading up on it and understanding the skills/abilities they have. The DND beyond link usually tells you one type of 'sub class' where as the 5e one is wayyy more detailed. Feel free to use whatever! Remember you all start at level 5 so take that into considering when reading up.

This is a barbarian and those are allll the subclasses. When you choose one, it should show what kind of abilities you can use in blue on the page. Also make sure the 'variants' little button (with the arrow) is not clicked/greyed. That gives you a bunch of other options that we just dont need really!

For newer players, I recommend a NON spell caster, but if you want to take on a challenge by all means! <3 I can absolutely help you through it. Using spells can be complicated and confusing to start which is why I recommend not to, but if interested read up and see if you'd want to!

All classes have different dice to roll for their health as well. For example, the barbarians are: Hit Points - Hit Dice: 1d12 per barbarian level. So for our purposes, when you roll for stats you will also roll for your health. In this case if you were a barbarian, you'd roll 5d12 for your health. (bc we start at level 5)

For newer players I have a two recommendations and explanations of how a class would go:

Barbarian

Abilities: Rage - You gain +2 on damage rolls, and take half damage from all physical attacks while Rage is up. Rage lasts 1 minute or until you have not attacked or been attacked in a full turn Unarmored Defense - with no armor, you have +2 to your AC Danger Sense - You have a +2 on perception checks on traps Reckless attack - Your first attack in a turn can be reckless, you gain advantage on physical attacks, but any attacks on you in the next turn also have advantage Extra Attack - at level 5 you may attack twice in one turn Fast Movement - at level 5 you gain 10 feet of movement if you are not wearing armor These are all abilities a Barbarian has normally there are then sub classes within barbarian you can choose that also gives other abilities

Fighter

Abilities: Fighting Style: Pick one -Archery: +2 to attack rolls with ranged weapons -Close Quarter Shooter: Attacking with a ranged weapon at close range, you dont roll with disadvantage -Defense: while wearing armor +1 AC -Dueling: When you are wielding a melee weapon in one hand and no other weapons, you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls with that weapon. -Great Weapon Fighting: When you roll a 1 or 2 on a damage die for an attack you make with a melee weapon that you are wielding with two hands, you can reroll the die and must use the new roll, even if the new roll is a 1 or a 2 Second Wind - You have a limited well of stamina that you can draw on to protect yourself from harm. On your turn, you can use a bonus action to regain hit points equal to 1d10 + your fighter level. One use of this. Action Surge - Starting at 2nd level, you can push yourself beyond your normal limits for a moment. On your turn, you can take one additional action. Extra Attack - Beginning at 5th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. These are all abilities a Fighter has normally there are then sub classes, or 'archetypes' you an choose that also gives other abiltiies

Ignore any reaction abilities, and any ability score things. You will gain ability scores when you level up. Any ability thats a 'one use until a long or short rest' I can negotiate with! I will most likely make gaining back that ability a certain # of actions you must use depending on what it is. The same goes for any spell caster. You will be able to regain spell slots, but you'll have to use up an action to do so.

Once Again, this is going to definitely be the most energy for all of this. Understanding your Class and Sub Class, and also how the rules fit in these condensed rules are whats going to be the hardest part of it all! But once you have fully picked what you want, i'll make kind of a character 'sheet' for you, essentially just a list of your abilities and what you can do along with your health and equipment.

BACKGROUND

Feel free to write up a small thing about your character! A small background, where did you come from? And more importnatly, why did you decide to join this event? the fame? the money? bc you love to kill? cockiness says you can beat anyone? Lets hear it!

Stats

When you're ALL DONE and have the class you want, its time to roll for health and stats! First roll for your health, which will be a 5d# and the # will depend on your class. After that, in THREE separate posts, roll 6 different 1d20. You then must pick ONE of those 3 to use for your stats. Im basically giving you 3 chances to get good rolls. So if your first roll is like all 1s you wont be stuck with that!

^^ this will give you your 6 numbers for stats. So you post this essentially 3 times in different posts, and then pick which post/set of numbers you want to use.

After youve picked which of the 3 post you want to use, you then delegate all 6 numbers to each stat:
Strength
Dexterity
Widosm
Charisma
Perception
Stealth

Make a post delegating each number to which stat!

After that... you're basically done! Ill type up a little summary/character sheet for you and PM it to you so you have a clear idea of your characters abilities and stats. (which will mostly help me keep organized of all of you more than anything, but if it helps you too lovely!)



This definitely wont start for another week, so you have lots of time to think/read things through. Or if this feels like too much, dont feel bad if you wanna back out, my feelings wont be hurt!
