Last season, eighteen contestants entered the mystical forest of Mirkwood, where they were greeted by six past contestants appearing as nature spirits. They would advise them and have influence over the game, but each also had their own motives. In the end, Lauren claimed victory over Rick and Harry, in Experimental's most decisive jury vote, a 9-1-0.

This season, world renowned spy agency NSIS is looking for twenty recruits skilled enough to rise through their ranks. These fresh agents will compete against each other to prove they have what it takes to hold their own in a world of sleuthing, turncoats, gadgetry, and betrayal. One by one, agents will fall to superior skill, resourcefulness, or perhaps even to themselves. In the end, only one will be left standing worthy enough to take on one final mission: infiltrating the most secure sever on the planet, C∙R∙Y∙P∙T.
